Hey all. Found a great deal on a Stumpy Evo. To buy or not is the question at hand.
It's a sweet deal first off
Dropper post, brand new xfusion fork, fox kashima shock, tubeless ready. Whole 9 yards. It's a beaut Clark.

It's 150/160 travel. My plan is to sell the fork get a fork that 120-150 ish to drop

I ride a lot if North East, even better north jersey cross country. Long flat uphills. Lots of rocks and roots. Steep technical downhills. You name it, it's up here.

Anyone have an argument for or against me getting this?

I don't have many super XC climbs. A lot are just long and flat and rocky.
But the one downfall on the bandit is pointed down it isn't a a lot of fun

What's the difference between the EVO and the normal model?

Anyone in favor how te stumpy pedals

I've been on a 2012 EVO for 2 years now, great bike overall. As chillindrdude said its not the best pedaling bike, buts its not horrible.

pros-
1- Very sturdy bike. I have used mine fro XC through DH with no issues.
2- Loves to go fast. It feels like a mini-DH bike even on XC type trails.

cons-
1- As mentioned the pedaling. The 2012 has an adaptive logic rear shock that you can flip the lever on to max out the pro pedal on long climbs.
2- the under the downtube cable routing kind of sucks. I have had my front der. cable smashed by a rock, and a stick go through the brake line and kink it pretty badly. Also because the front der. cable comes up from below it gets dirt and water in it easily which can foul up your shifting. I recently switched to a 1x10 setup and am very glad not to have to deal with it any more.

Hope this helps

Helps a lot.
I think I've made up my mind. I'm gonna go with it.
It's 6 foot but always ride a smaller bike and this is a medium and I love
My medium bandit.
I'll pull the trigger. It's well worth the price. Worst case I sell it for a profit and buy a new one
