One of the fastest/gnarliest dudes on the WC circuit thinks a track obstacle is too silly/dangerous and everyone tells him to harden up? Hahaha. I think he might have a slightly better idea than a bunch of keyboard warriors.
even his coach basically called him a pvssy.

the enduro evo is not an enduro bike

Think 7" sx trail or something similar
I remember reading about how stiff Gwin runs his suspension. It was back when he was on trek. If I remember correctly they said they had trouble getting a stiff enough spring for him. He's not exactly a big guy so despite being a beast I wonder if he was getting full travel, or how often. A 7" travel frame with dh geometry might feel right to him.

reminds me of the Honda days. When everyone else was in a race for moar travel, they were saying a properly controlled 7" of travel is all you need. I wonder if we're coming full circle on the issue.

impressive that Blenki's in first in qualis, but there's not much separating him from Gwin. I wonder which of the two left the most on the track today, and who has more in reserve for the race.

Also, fastest speed trap to Neko. Combining that speed with experience on wet roots and rock, I wonder if that'll carry over to a podium tomorrow.

The gap between Rach and the rest of the ladies is ridiculous. She seriously is in a class of her own.

I don't really think you have that much to be pissed about because they didn't even make those guys really ride them before changing them. Life's good!
It's the post that rubbed me the wrong way, Gwin can ride whatever he wants. Life is good, just went back from an epic trip. The chest mount wasn't setup properly so the footage is crap but I will post a ride report in the weekend.

As for the track. I Sick Micks result has me surprised. He had some mistakes since he seems to be really determined to do good here.

No they shouldn't. Keep that **** in the pump tracks.

Besides.....everyone's just going to bitch about them until they get so muted out that everyone rides through them and bounces along easily and they're essentially non-consequential. :D

I am deeply concerned Ed Masters cut, umm, "enduroed" the course. Can anybody confirm this? He seems pretty shady.

Rads: Neko and Lucas first splits :-)twitch:), Neko and Lucas quali times, quali times for Gwin and Minngnar given their well documented inability to ride in the mud, Ed fvcking Masters, Parkin Bros, Kovarik, Kovarik, Kovarik, Rach (wtf?), me not not riding that insanity.

For risk of sounding like a total fanboi, I didn't even know the Enduro EVO existed before Jesus rode it at PMB and now I kind of want one. I think it would suit my riding style really well and possibly even allow me to excel in the ultra-competitive, ever-illustrious Cat 2 age 30-39 grassroots races that I attend. Is it available with god's wheels yet?

And as an added bonus, that thing would be absurdly fun to ride at Whistler.

[Square jaw guy in suit drinking martini voice] Specialized didn't invent the 7" park bike. But we sure as shlt just started marketing it well. I think seeing the above post, you'll agree. [/Square jaw guy in suit drinking martini voice]

Hopefully they're having a staff meeting about my post right now and releasing the 650B version this summer. I'm gonna be so fast.

If that's all gwinn rides the rest of the season and does well, I don't think they're going to care what anyone 'thinks' they want to buy. Their new 'demo' might look a lot like another bike though. :D

You should just buy my sx trail I have for sale.

the interview with masters was pretty funny
That too. Glad I was watching it at work, and not with my 3 y.o. who is just learning the meaning of the "f word". Luckily we're bilingual and I explain to him they are referring to seals.... I don't know how long he will fall for that though....

One of the most fun bikes I have owned for Dh around here was that sx trail with a 7 inch 40 on the front.
So many grins.
Now, I am waiting anxiously for my tr500 to get here.
