kickstand,

Maybe she lays at doors for a breeze to cool her off. Isn't that breed insanely hot natured/well insulated?
I am sure she's laying there to enjoy the cool draft my house has to offer. Though, they are well insulated, huskies also do surprisingly well in the heat, their coat does pretty well to cool them in the summer (within reason of course) also.

I just got a call from the ex. Kitty had been missing for a few days, they put up posters and a neighbor called and said she had found him eaten in the woods over the weekend. RIP Kitty, you will be missed.

Rescue dog so dunno what he is. Haven't tried to take him on a ride yet, still leash training but I'd like to get him out there one day.

My Husky/Mal mix loved doors...always figured he liked the air coming underneath. Chacko also sunbathed in the 110 degre heat in Cali...crazy mutt!

Yeah, Kiora the dog originally posted by me loved laying around outside, never cared what the temperature was as long as she was getting fresh air!

Unfortunately Karver had to go back to the breeder, she developed some very bad aggressive behavior towards my wife and kids, something I tried for a while to train out of her, but in the end had to make the difficult decision that she was no longer worth the risk.

It's been about 6 months since we had to do that and the kids are begging for another dog, so we're casually browsing the shelters, I'd love another husky, but the wife isn't super keen on the shedding.

Hank (cat) and Zoey previewing this years Halloween costumes. Hank goes catatonic, then gets attacked by the dog for being compromised every time we put a costume on him.

We lost our long time riding buddy at the start of the year at the age of 13. We took a little time to get this little guy. Wild fire at the moment but hopefully settles into a great trail dog.

Well, the kids found a rescue pup and I obliged, it took a real arm twisting :)

No idea on breed, she was 9-10 weeks when we picked her up 3 weeks ago. She's a whopping 11 lbs. So far she's been awesome. No bike rides yet, but I've taken her on about 25 miles worth of hikes already. The longest being a 6 mile hike yesterday. She does quite well.

The kids named her "Roxy", she was "pebbles" at the rescue, so we decided baby rocks are pebbles and grown rocks are rocks...so there you have it.

Good looking pup! Take it easy tough for those hikes and bike ride. Small distance before 12-14 month. Don't want to jeopardize here future health.

Nothing so far has been anything strenuous, we're talking flat ground walking through the woods for the most part. Nor has she shown any signs of exhaustion at all. Besides the longer walk yesterday nothing has been longer than 2-3 miles at a time. That, and she spends about 8 hours a day sleeping on my feet while I work, so she needs to get out and do a little exercising after being stuck in the house all day.
