What to wear under armor this summer?

I wear nothing under my Nukeproof armor, but the Nukeproof is kind of a moisture wicking shirt with the pads sewn in. I used to have a Sinisalo armor jacket that was based on a rough mesh fabric, but that was also fine with nothing under it.

The cotton T-shirt is not a good idea, it will collect all the sweat and hold it.

I use a Cantebury base layer under my jersey. Recommend them very highly - have one for summer and one for winter.

Just get a moisture wicking fabric shirt. I pick them up at clearance racks in sporting goods stores. Wear your armor on top of the moisture wicking shirt then a jersey over your armor. Stay away from cotton it tends to hold moisture and that's not what you want next to you skin.

honestly though, just get a nice fitted underarmour sweat wicking T or long sleeve. You wont even know its there.

underarmour stretch wicking shirt is what I used to wear, before ditching the armor because it was just so effing hot and restrictive. I didn't like going shirtless.

Personally, UA is horrible. It's wet and clamy, and the materials are cheap.
And judging by the Olympics, it actually makes you slower.

Wool all the way. Once you ride in premium wool you'll never go back to wet, stinky plastic.

Get better, less restricting and bulky armor so it shows off your physique. It should come with a decent wicking shirt as one piece.
The 661 Evo Phantom (or whatever it is) works for me. I ripped the turtle shell pieces off the back so it still has elbow, shoulder, chest, and a little bit of back padding. It's hot at times but I feel naked without it.

Wool is ****, yeah it keeps you warm when it's wet but that's not what you want, I tried a couple of brands and hated them both.

I'm a fat sweaty beast so I try heaps of wicking shirts and the best I have found is the Columbia Omni Freeze Zero shirt- http://www.columbia.com/Men's-Freeze-Degree™-Short-Sleeve-Crew/AM6620,default,pd.html

Any sort of wicking shirt.... I like Duofold, CoolMax, Terramar Helix... Everyone seems to make one now though, so just look around. The thinner the better.
