Impressive for Maes, surely frustrating for Taylor Vernon, disappointing for Lucas Shaw to finish 8th after fastest top split.

Will be interesting to see what the time difference between Men's and Juniors is

Jill Kintner's on pace in the Womens but can't see her keeping the hot seat long

Ragot just schooled the Women's field. Rach and Manon seem to have come unstuck in the woods - same as happened to Shaw in the juniors? I'm speculating on that...

WTF happened to the camera at the top of the course??!?! When I started watching there was at least 4-5 cameras now theres just one at the top and one at the bottom…

Edit: Just as I posted that they seemed to have one back at the top when Neko came down, still seems like theres 1-2 missing from earlier.

Wow - that was so intense. I didn't want Brosnan to win until he crossed the finish line and I realized what a feat he accomplished. I'm even more stoked to see Hill on the podium.

definitely wanted to see Hill take a win. but quite pleased to see Troy bringing it. it seems the point race this year is really open, and the the talent pool is quite deep with so many people able to take the win. whoever takes the overall this year will have been very very consistent. we have three different winners for the first three races... when was the last time we saw that?

Warner was saying that in qualies the time difference between the top 80 was 22 seconds. I wonder what the time spread is for the top 5? like 5 seconds? that's pretty tight.

friggin awesome race!

So stoked for Troy Brosnan! Hart on the top rocky section was awesome. He makes it look like it was a ride in the park, so smooth and stylish.

so, this whole thing with Greg being DQ'd at Cairns... I'm confused, caus' I thought the rules had changed so that you didn't have to go back where you went out if it didn't gain you any time. that whole rule thing came into play for Rachel in Windham where she got all squirelly off a jump, went off track, but held it together to get back on track. She wasn't dq'd for that, and it may have cost Ragot the overall... I don't quite remember. did they change the rules back? Did they change their interpretation? what's up with all that?

They went back to the way the rule used to be written "have to re-enter where you left" because it's more of a black and white rule. The "as long as you don't gain an advantage" rule was too ambiguious and race officials were worried there would come a time when someone would potentially re-enter the course and make it onto the podium. Then there would be protests and drama from other riders/managers, so they decided to go back to the old rule before something like that happened.
