I have a few questions about landing on flat ground, I was hoping to get some input into.

What is about the highest you should drop on a flat landing without damaging the suspension or bike?

What is the highest you can drop on a flat landing without it being painful to yourself?

What is the optimal speed you should be going when doing a flat landing?

What is the optimal way to do a flat landing? Should it be both wheels hit the same time or back wheel first?

What is the best way for your body to land, like standing and slowly falling to seat with most of the landing in your legs?

Are high flat landings something that needs a lot of practice to do properly?

Thanks,

What is about the highest you should drop on a flat landing without damaging the suspension or bike? No limit

What is the highest you can drop on a flat landing without it being painful to yourself? Don't ask

What is the optimal speed you should be going when doing a flat landing? A speed near zero

What is the optimal way to do a flat landing? Should it be both wheels hit the same time or back wheel first? Back wheel WAY first

What is the best way for your body to land, like standing and slowly falling to seat with most of the landing in your legs? Knees locked, followed by a full body collapse on impact

Are high flat landings something that needs a lot of practice to do properly? Practice is for posers. Go big or go home.

Thanks,

Are you a bot?
Not a bot, I tried a 5 foot drop on flat ground and wound up twisting my handlebar all the way down and couldn't lift it back up without allen key, wrists hurt like hell afterwards.

I see these guys doing these crazy 20 foot jumps and drops on youtube like it was nothing.

If you hit a 5 foot to flat and your handlebar bent backwards. I'd do a full recheck of that bike for anything else that might fail ok you in the time coming up.

And ya big drops. They're awesome. You gotta have some school and knowledge about. Huck to flats are always painful. They mAke transitions for a reason
