Does anyone know if there are any full service suspension spots in whistler that could do a rebuild on an RC4 within a day or so? My shock is functioning perfectly but has a quite a bit of time on it, prob needs a rebuild but I'm too cheap at the moment to do it. Just curious if anyone has had a shock rebuilt in the whistler area...headed there in a few weeks and don't want to be SOL if the bike eating capital of the world kills it...thx

they were pretty good about answering my emails, I wouldn't have any hesitation if I were you. It is the middle of the season so they might be pretty busy, I would expect it to take no longer than 2 days if you walk it in by hand. its $105 for a basic damper service on an RC4 according to their site, $180 for the rebuild and tune. They are the best in the biz when it comes to that stuff. if I were getting my shock serviced by them, if time allows, I would spring for the tune while they have it

Why would you wait until whistler?
Was not spend a little bit of money now, and save yourself the hassle, the cost of being off the bike at your holiday destination (each day costs money) and the inevitable "Whistler tax" of having suspension fixed at one of the most expensive riding resorts in the world?

Vorsprung are probably not answering emails instantaneously right now because; it's a one man show, it's peak season in Whistler and he's balls to the wall rebuilding other peoples sh1t.

If you go ahead and book it now I have no doubt that he could and would turn it around in less than 24 hours.

If you are not going for a few weeks why not get it done before you go?

Both Fox and Push had less than a 2 week total turn around time when I got mine rebuilt a few months back. I assume that rebuilding in early May was a fairly busy time? Either way I wouldn't wait until I was out there to have it rebuilt only to find out it needs a part that has to be ordered from Fox and will take 3 days to get to the whistler shop.

Vorsprung has super fast turnarounds, and they are well versed in RC4s.

Sorry if we missed something - I haven't received any emails about RC4 servicing in the past few days, possible that our online form is having issues but I have received a few others in that time. Shoot me a line directly - steve at vorsprung suspension dot com and we can arrange a day to get your shock in & out in 24hrs. Our current walk-in lead time is about a week, but if you book a day then we can get you turned around on that day.
