I just noticed that it says I joined in 2006. Holy hell, I've been on the monkey for 8 years? How did that happen...

'Morning. Good duathlon yesterday. Very hilly race, from start to finish.

Run 1 (4.5K): 7:15 pace
Bike (25 miles): 17.0 mph while fighting off the poo monster (not fun and it cost me time)
Run 2 (10K): 8:06 pace.

Small field. Only 27 people. 300 or so did the triathlon.
5th overall
4th male
1st masters (won swag!)

That be some fast running there. Saturday I got in an 80 minute/8.59 mile run at 9:18 pace. Sunday a 45 mile/2.5 hour ride holding 18 mph.

BBQ with the neighbors yesterday evening.

Wifey and I are taking the step back on all of the upgrades to the house that she wants to do. The cost of the floors, painting and counters alone are putting us near $12k. If we add the cabinet changes and re-facing we are probably adding another $5k (still pending estimate) to the process. Given the appreciation of our house, we can put that money plus the appreciation into a larger house with most of the finishings that we want.

I have found a few houses that check off all of our wants, but they are on the other side of town, so she's hesitant to move that far. Friends and daycare are all on our side of town, so it's hard to justify a move that far away (in her mind). Interesting how quickly isht changes when you look outside of the box you were working within.

From the weekend. It doesn't really equal Eric's time spent paddling the wife, but it was close.

Rolled up with a keg. Perfect setup really. We filled the barrel with ice from a local hockey arena. Holy poop was it heavy.

Can't wait to go riding tonight. Its been a few days.

Mornin!

Went for a good hike yesterday afternoon. The lady got heat exhaustion and hung back with her friend while myself and another friend ran out front. It was a pretty solid effort, though I will admit that I'm feeling it today.

What's "other side of town" in terms of neighborhood? You're checking out the GreatSchools ratings embedded on zillow, redfin, etc.?

I spent the weekend off and on sick. New town, new germs. Still have a nice wet cough in my reading station cubicle.

Spent the weekend in Durango for the Yeti Tribe Gathering riding high alpine backcountry, drinking beer, and camping. I'm stoked, and exhausted. Trip report forthcoming, teaser below...

Literally the other side of Highlands Ranch, over where your sister lives. There is no difference between the two areas.

Had a motorcycle class scheduled to begin today, but got bumped because half of the people who signed up didn't show up. So I got out of work early and went for a ride instead.
Had a huge buck come crashing down the hill and across the trail...pretty wild, it was really close.

Bike is sounding angry. But a fun ride in the woods!

Oh. Across that "town". I thought you were going to defect and come up to Stapleton or Lowry. :D
