.:585:.
mike B did you figure out whether you're headed to sugarbush or killington?
Eric and I are still talking it over but I think we're leaning toward Sugarbush.

EDIT: Also depends on if we talk anyone in to coming with us and their DH skill level

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
I do have confirmation from the owners and I have paid for the house (awaiting a reply on another issue). I will PM everyone the address. Beware, we can not check in until 5pm and I have to be there (owners are a little strange about things). They are giving us a break on price so hopefully things work out well and we end up loving the place.

Yes--there is an outside fire pit that we can use, so if you want to bring some camp fire wood, we can use it (there is some there as well)!

Ok...I am working on menu and today so I can post up a total tonight.

Right now I am debating pulled chicken (vs. pork...chicken's on sale and it works great in my recipe) for Thursday night.

Breakfasts -- what say you? Sweet or savory? I am going to be making something different and wonder which direction (or both) to go in.

Vero will be pleased to note that I have several loaves of my banana bread baking as I type this too!

Right now, I am thinking the cost will be $175 (or less hopefully) per person too, I'll know for sure when I finish the shopping!

House address is: 1331 Bethel Mountain Road, Rochester, VT If you do not have my cell number, PM me and I'll send it along too.

Please remember, we can't check in until 5pm.

It's the place I thought it was. Incidentally, it's proximal to the route of the Circus Ride, 50 mile loop with a stupid lot of climbing, two off-road gaps, Randolph and Braintree...

If you look at the Strava heatmap, there are faint threads running into town on either side of the Bethel Mountain Road and you can see the Randolph Gap section of the Circus Ride.

Just dropping in to share: I spend a decent amount of time in the Waitsfield/Warren area, both summer & winter, & found some great MTB trails last time I was up. Be sure to check out the trails over at Blueberry Lake, built by Mad River Riders, or for a little more challenge, the trails up at Camel's Hump http://madriverriders.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/mrr-trail-description-print-2014.pdf
The figure 8 loop at Blueberry Lake (Leonards Loop & Flying Squirrell) is only maybe 5-6 miles, and there is a climb to get to the goods, but the flow is great (really good!) and the ride can be started right from the lake - which you can then swim in afterwards, & hang out on the shore. First class trail building up there, and it looks like only 35 minutes from the house address Treesaw listed. Wish I could join you all, but I am headed to Crested Butte for a MTB Vacation...have fun

Looks like the Stock Farm Trails are open. Worth checking out or at least stopping for lunch if you're going to do the circus ride. The Climb up the brook to the gap is killer long.

Ok....one more update for all you folks who are packing up.
Total cost per person is $165 (I bargain shopped and planned the menu according to what's on sale :) )
Sheets & towels are there for us.
There is a place to swim (pond/stream).
There is a backyard fire so if you have room for a little campfire wood, please bring some if you're so inclined.
Bring your own beer.
Ride tomorrow is at 11am at Pine Hill Park in Rutland, followed by lunch at Long Trail Brewery.
5pm check-in at the house.

Any questions, text me and if you don't have my number, PM me and I'll get it to you.

WOOHOO!!!! :weee:
