Traveling to Whistler next week and looking for cheaper shuttle options from the Van Int Airport or downtown Van to Whistler and back. Unfortunately Epic Rides, who is by far a cheaper and better service, doesn't match my flight itinerary at all so they're not an option.
Y'all have any recommendations for me?
Also, if any of you locals wanna hook up a ride, hit me up, I'll throw you an agreed upon $$$ figure.

You can get to downtown easily on the skytrain: Canada Line (you can prepurchase the skytrain ticket from the 711 in the airport... ticket is good for entire skytrain trip). You can get off at 'Waterfront' station then catch the Expo Line skytrain line and get off at 'Main Street - Science World' station. There's a VIA Rail train station. You can't miss it. Big brown building northeast corner of Main street and Terminal Ave. From there you can grab a Greyhound bus up to Whistler. Call ahead to make sure there's a bus that will get you up there. Don't want you running around all over Vancouver for nothing.

Although I used a reserved shuttle last month; next time I'll just get a shuttle when I get there. Keep in mind, the shuttles will not wait for you more then a few minutes (10 or so) if your flight is delayed or if it takes forever to get through customs (took over an hour after I got off the plane last month to get my bike and clear through). Once you miss your shuttle you're stuck waiting for the next one (2-4 hours). There are a couple of companies with shuttles going up and they run at different times (offset). I could have taken another company's shuttle up without waiting, but none of the companies will let you cancel same day, so you either need to wait our double pay. None of the shuttles are close to full during the summer so you're pretty much guaranteed a spot.

The other option I would consider is renting a SUV one way from the airport to Whistler, then doing the same thing when you go back to the airport. That way you're not beholden to someone else's schedule.

Good to know! Not gonna pre-book anything in hopes that I can find a better ride than the charter buses but nice to know they should be available if I need them.

hitchwhistler.com worth a shot
Just signed up and submitted my ride. Thanks for the tip.

I took this last year. Pretty decent $60 each way but I had my bike in two regular bags. There is wifi on board to occupy you.

The downside for me was having to get out the the bus stop in whistler at 5:30am for the ride back to Vancouver. But I slept the whole way.
The times I've taken the shuttle, I did not bring my own bike. To that end, it's the perfect solution (getting to Whistler Village from YVR) if you don't want to rely on anybody else.
