Got in a quick ride last night before the rains came. Today, not so much. Going to try and pick up the patio set and get that all assembled this evening.

What it do, Chuckles! 7 mile run before work didn't go quite as well as I had hoped. 7:45 pace but was shooting for 7:30 pace. No doubt lingering fatigue from my race Sunday plus humid morning air slowed me down. Still a good workout. More easy miles planned after work today (we call that a "double").
Good morning! We have the last GBNEMBA Fells ride of the season this evening, it gets wicked dark in the woods after 7:30PM. I hope I won't pass out from heat, humidity and fatigue. Legs are still burning from last night's ride. In other news, I ordered a 2014 888 CR for the DHR after I had decided the twisted lowers of my old Boxxer were not worth additional investment. Many thanks to Sandwich who helped me with the pick.

After reviewing my project list with my boss, I have 1.75 FTE's worth of work at the moment.
Told the GF I likely won't be able to go up to Maine this weekend (#firstworldproblems) due to work, car maintenance + sticker and helping a friend move. She threw a hissy fit asking why I cancelled on her, etc. I explained I'm a bit overwhelmed with work and personal stuff I need to get done, and that I would have thought she'd be a bit more understandin, given I've spent every weekend with her for as long as I can remember. She gave me a "fine, just stay at home" after I offered to compromise, and I'm at the point where I'm saying "FVCK IT" and doing my thing.
Women, can't live with 'em........pass the beer nuts.

I thought I played fairly poorly at the audition last night, but still was accepted as an official sub for the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra. (This was for a sub position, so it's not like I got demoted from a "real" position--they're all unpaid. This is not the professional, paid Denver Symphony.)
I think I have spent all but 1 weekend since June in Maine. As much as I would PREFER to be in Maine and with her, sometimes adult-type things get in the way. I've needed new front brakes on the car for a solid 3 months, but kept putting it off, why?......because I was in Maine every weekend.Am I the only one that thinks CJSP is doing this wrong?
