I have a short travel GT Distortion. I use it as my trail bike because I love its short travel/sharp handling and how playful it is.

Ive been wanting a new bike until the new Cane Creek inline came out in the right size and gave me a new tunable option for the rear.
Annnnd im wondering what I can do with the front end.

My Distortion is the 2011 1.0 Came with a 140mm travel Fox 32 that Sucks. Its a horrible fork for the duty.
Ive seen that the 2012 came with a 150mm fork and ive seen someone fit a 160 and say it was fine.

Im looking at the 150mm Version of the Pike from this/last year.

Im just wondering if anyone has done it ,or someone with Distortion knowledge could chime in.

Just for some closure on this put 150mm pikes on the distortion and its brilliant! thanks for the input folks.
Raised the front by all of 10mm and the fork is brilliant. worlds ahead of that shitty fox 32.

Hello I also have GT Distortion and want to do the same thing, put a Pike on the front.

I am also worried about the geo of the 150. Do you notice any difference from the 140?

You also said that the Cane Creek Inline will fit the Distortion, do you know this for sure because I definitely would put one on mine as well. ( I see in your pic that yours is also a medium frame) I emailed Cane Creek and they said they were not sure if it would fit my medium Distortion.

thank you for your help.

hi!
the Pikes make the bike amazing! the extra 10mm travel is fine and the fork is almost exactly the same length from crown to axle so the change is only really in performance.
The pike is a excellent attachment to the bike.

Havent got the cash for the CC inline yet. Eye to eye length and shock stroke and length are correct/available for the bike ,whether it will physically fit is yet to be seen.

Cool, let me know if you try out the Cane Creek Inline. Would love to see if it fits.
