My own world inside my head
Morning, droppedthe MIL off at the airport this morning. She has instructed me shewill not be visiting again. I said phew life will be easier that way.

Watching the original Sinbad for the morning then heading to the hospital to check on the wife and see what the plan for surgery is, hopefully the liphase(?) count and clotting factor are both in a good range so we can go aead with the surgery tonight. Send some vibes, this is more than a little stressful, I can use all the help I can get these next few days

Morning.

It's Friday!!!!! :happydance:

Supposed to hit up happy hour after work with a few co-workers. At least it's all the co-workers that I actually like to see every day.

Got a 5K run Sunday (3.1 miles). Certainly shorter than the marathon, but is in many ways much, much more painful. 3.1 miles of lung sucking, leg burning, heart rate maxing sufferfest. If you are not on the verge of puking by the end, you are not running hard enough. Should be fun! Anxious to see how close I can get to breaking that 20 minute barrier. My personal best is 20:42 and I should be able to at least beat that. Knocking 43 seconds off would be a lot though, and will be difficult since I have not been training for that distance.

Mornin!

Rather disappointed with the Police department for their lack of initiative. After almost being handed a perpetrator of credit card fraud they are declining to do anything but file a report. My Christmas dreams of a tasing video are now crushed.

Howdy all. I return home to Denver life with 2 year old and wife tonight. It's been kind of nice to be able to sleep in, but the order of my regular life makes me a bit more sane, methinks.

Last day at my job at Zoo-Mass Memorial. Starting at a new place on Monday. Hopefully it'll be less craziness and I'll have a little more time to swing by the forums again!

Nothing major going on for me this weekend. Ruptured my achilles tendon back in late September, so I haven't been able to bike or do much of anything since then. It's mending well, but will probably be another month or two before I'm riding a bike outside again. Or skiing... or anything like that. Luckily there's beer....

Morning Monkeys. First ride on dirt since I started having back / sciatica issues last night, and it was awesome. I'm not 100% by any means but I can pedal some just can't get too aggressive. I did spike a pedal on a rock that was jutting in to the trail hidden in some tall grass, which sent me flying over the bars straight on to my shoulder... that didn't feel good. Managed to slam a quad in to my stem as well, nice sized bruise / lump this morning. Aside from some shoulder pain and the bruise it seems my back is fine. Bullet = dodged.

Morning Monkeys.

I have the little monkey this weekend, then I get to take her to her first real concert on Tuesday. I'm stoked, so is she. I think it's going to be a pretty good weekend despite the rain.

Beware - this drama is likely JUST getting started.
^ This.
I'd rather get between a bear and its cub than a grandma/grandchild.

Made plans to hit NYC weekend of 13th.
Hoping the protesters come to terms with racist cops before then as I don't like crowds.

At the hospital now. Wife got way worse last night. Her lipase count went well over 16k from 5k. Pain is substantially worse so they moved her from morphone to dilauted. Cannot so surgery at the current and we are awaiting a gi specialist from here to see what is next

Grandma lives 1800 miles away, this was only the second time she has even come to Montana. Michelle has been here for ten years and her Mom did not visit until this past July and this past two weeks.

I am not scared of bears, I am not going to fear a simple MIL

Wife is doing a little better, surgery is not going to be possible at this time. If we are lucky she can at least come home Monday. As long as her pancreas calms down it will be at least two weeks before surgery
