I don't know if you're serious or not, but most of their bikes run tiny, not even small. I was interested in the codeine, but I'd definitely be on a large at 5'11". The large park wood measures 16.1" in reach, that's smaller than a medium kona honzo by over half an inch.

i am dead serious. i need to go sit on some bike shop niners and get a feel for what i like (ive never ridden a niner). When i was comparing the reach earlier to some other bikes, their large was the same exact reach as a medium stumpy 29... that sort of freaked me out.

yes, i know i am an idiot and should have checked the numbers before.. i was just super stoked to finally get around to buying one. oh well.

dude I'm sorry. I can't say for certain what you will like, but my enduro sits at 445mm in a large, the codeine comes in at 425. So, there's an inch between the two. The medium is 412mm/16.2in, which is pretty tight. It might be OK with a longer stem, if you're not into 50mms and such.

shit, does that mean i should have gotten a large codeine instead? im 5'11"...
im 5'10 and run Banshee Rune, reach 440 (L) and very short stem 30mm.

Ideally 420-440mm reach would work with choosen stem length. For Downhill, it is 20mm less reach for same size of frame.

maybe its worth to try 60mm stem if you don't mind, and riding "short" frame is not necessarily bad especially on 29er.
