.:585:.
Morning.

The weekend is finally in sight! Seems like this week has lasted forever. Hopefully the temps get high enough this weekend that the snow melts enough in my driveway that I can actually park there again. Stupid snowplows!

Also, excited for the MLS season to start this weekend and I'm sure all of you are just as excited as I am.
:shablon:Go S-K-C!!!!! :fans:

Yay Friday.

This week has been a shitshow, literally in some sense. Between the nightmare traffic, onset mud butt syndrome, headaches and late nights at work, I will be thoroughly enjoying some beer and relaxing tonight.

Wednesday was the worst. There was some major ice or something that caused rolling blackouts throughout Toronto. Traffic lights at intersections were down or totally off all over the place. It took two hours to get to work. Going home was frightening. People were blowing through intersections with no lights like they weren't even there. What the fucks peoples? Ugh.

But yes, happy Friday to everyone. Sun is out and very bright here. :)

I am having serious motivational issues. Might be a good day to get fired.
:stupid:

This mornings email was just teh disappoint. I should raise my hand and call shenanigans, but I shouldn't have to and part f me doesn't care enough to bitch anymore. The job market is so crazy hot, I could get at least 10% maybe 15% more on the open market, but I don't want to do that sh!t either.

Yay Friday.

<edit> I pick up my new microwave on the way home tonight. I just hope it fits (over the range style). We've only been without for almost 2 years.

Mom's half wild rat terrier disappeared yesterday and that means one thing. She's probably dead and not coming back. The coyotes have wanted her gone for a long time. In other news my cat is happier today. At least the rat terrier ate a giant ground squirrel on her last day.

Rendering another fkn rush job for my team in Montreal. Giving it to them 4 days early.
I get to play the martyr too. Hopefully this will buy me a couple more ski days.

Howdy all. Although I did catch a few days of snow and ice after putting Nokians on 2 of 3 cars (the third being one on lease that's going back soon) the weather in Denver has now turned to solid early summer. 55-60 degrees in the forecast for the next week and a half, it looks like.

I'll take that over another snowstorm.

I have a band concert to perform in tomorrow night. Last night's rehearsal was painfully long, and that I have to slog through traffic on I-270 to merely get to rehearsal is another big downer. I will look into other groups to play with for the next season, as I don't think I want to do that drive every week. Can you tell that the years in NY soured me permanently on traffic?

Oh, also my wife had a weird run-in with another driver today:

She was tooling along in her new-to-her RAV4 EV, which was only sold in California. A guy in a Land Cruiser (!) pulls up next to her and says he has one, too--one of 7 in the state by his count. What's more, at the next light he pops out of his car and hands her a bumper sticker for some EV charging organization.

So the other guy is an EV nerd, has a RAV4 EV, and also has a Land Cruiser. He's my clone.

Just wrapped up my last day at my old job. Been there 7 years. Felt weird to leave, but I'm looking forward to my new job too. Saw my new office today. Pretty cool view: I can see where I ride, my wife's office and our home.

We got ours used for a hair under $31k. It's eligible for a $6k CO state tax credit despite being used since it was never registered before in CO. I am ok with this pricing. :D (It's FWD, btw. It's like a detuned FWD Tesla Model S under its clothes.)

Toyota practically had to give those things away.
That $16.5k included the $7.5k Federal credit implicitly--the leasing company claims that credit and passes it on. Still, $9k off MSRP is no laughing matter. Our leased LEAF had a capitalized cost of something like $13.5k off MSRP, iirc, for comparison purposes.
