So what's new besides the stupid wheel size? I still don't see a reason why new bikes are better than most of what produced in 2010-2012 when the last gen of bikes was introduced. It looks nice and even though I like to laugh at Intense for some crazy reason I like them. I'd just want to see something that would sell a new bike to me besides the fact it's slightly different looking.

Pretty much nailed how I feel about new dh bikes in general.

for $3300 the V10 is looking moar better even with the $300 price difference @ msrp. i was hoping to see something worthwhile to get to replace my M9 but this isnt it. its heavier and the wrong wheel size.

Is the leverage curve on the v10 finally not drawn at randumb? How is it on the m16? Maybe that's an upgrade. That was always my quarry wth bikes using the VPP patent. I like the looks but meh geo and strange leverage mean I'd rather stay with my old rig (or buy a bigger one of the same)

of all the vpp bikes ive ridden and owned, the v10 and M9 have been my favorite. they also must have thought the geometry on the M9 was good enough to almost completely carry over to the M16. the M9 fits me perfectly and i probably wouldnt have change much myself

The leverage curves on the v10 and Intense M bikes have always been reasonably good in my book, it's only a lot of the trail and shorter travel bikes that have bad ones.

I might be remembering the 05 model.

As for the m series. Wasn't there one where the IC went far in front of the front wheel? Though I'm drunk now and can't remember why that's bad. I liked how the newer v10 susp behaved but still did not understand why it needed so much travel when it felt like it actually had less.

Why does this vpp suspension design, the carbon link hyper extends when the shock bottoms out?
Also this is commonly reported on the alu SC V10.3. The design flaw is still not corrected on the new carbon V10s.

The sleeker look and the slightly longer top tube are the only real selling points to me over my M6. I like the shorter chain stays and lower bottom bracket on the M6. I never really saw a need to replace my M6 with an M9. The bigger wheels are really the reason for the M16 and only because 26" rims and tires will become more and more scarce.

i felt the difference b/w the M6 and M9 was night and day. i thought the M6 was probably the least favorite of the M bikes that ive ridden.
I'm only going by comparing numbers. My M6 is the only Intense M bike I have ever ridden. Is the M9 that much better? The few that are left are almost half price compared to the M16.

Alu V10.3 now with 16+ inches BB height = can we say unrideable (coz the link is stuck up!)
*Where's the universal symbol for unrideable?

*Note: I still have my old V10.3 frame, made in SAPA, USA.
