Wow, hi, stranger, how you doing?
Shhhhhhhh. I'm not even here right now. A figment of your imagination!

Kidding! I am fine. How are YOU doing? Did I hear that you officially retired and are living my dream life (of being socially acceptably unemployed) right now? I just snuck in here to lurk and got excited by the PBR thread. I am sure you have all of the general big life updates from TN. Living in Vegas for now. I love Vegas for all the reasons that I hated Milwaukee (weather, access to outdoor stuff, geographic location) and hate it for all the reasons that I loved Milwaukee (It's sprawling, the people suck-ish, super conservative govt., not a great place to be for my industry) It's been interesting and fun if nothing else. I am more of a skier now than a cyclist. I used to ride road pretty religiously in Milwaukee and did a lot of commuting. That stopped when we moved to Vegas. I am way too afraid to ride a bike in traffic here. I have pulled my MTB out and hope to ride it this summer. Other than that, I don't think anything major has happened in the 7-10 years since we last spoke. ;)

I did hear that we might get a chance to meet up with you though.

I'd love to meet you two. My life started to become notably loony around 2011 when BadDNA unintentionally arranged for me to meet another lunatic soul. That has led to riding adventures every year since and and in part contributed to my decision to retire. Life free of the slavery of work is so far just amazing. Ski on, ride on, whatever is your bent - it's really good to hear from you again!

One of my high school buddies lives out in Vegas now and he goes to this every year. He's in a band out there and knows a lot of people so he ends up hanging with some of the bands.

Front Range, dude...
Are you bringing your bike? I'll be down there people watching, but the only show I was interested in sold out. Wah.
Dont think so...my pal that is accompanying me doesnt ride anymore. He is too busy building lobster traps.

What show did you want to see? We have 3 day tix, so and may not use them all. Also got Frank Turner evening show billets...

This is a hobby I didn't know I wanted until right now.

I was going to see the Strung Out show (It's a club show, not one of the main festival shows). I also really wanted to see Rancid. If I had known that our weather would still be so killer, I would have snagged tickets. But the thought of hanging out in the 100 degree heat on Fremont wasn't very appealing back in January. The weather is, of course, going to be fucking awesome.

I'd love to meet you two.
Will travel for meet-ups. Keep TN in the loop when you are on our side of the country. We are close to so much!!!!!

I will try to be less of a stranger. I have a job now that allows for ridiculous (and painful) amounts of downtime. The last thing I need is another internet distraction.

A buddy of mine goes every year, bastard. It is one "festival" I would really enjoy. Scary how many of those bands I have seen at one point or another. TSOL was 24ish years ago.
