My heart is heavy tonight. Our 9 year old Lab/Boxer/? mix Tasha suddenly developed a severe malaise and distended belly. Frau took her to the vet and ultrasound revealed a large tumour on her liver that had ruptured and was bleeding into her belly. We only had one choice, and you know what that was. I picked up the kids from the swim party they were at and headed to the vet. The 2 of them were braver than I was, I was blubbering uncontrollably. She smiled one last time at us as she stepped onto the Rainbow Bridge to be reunited with Chacko...farewell my goofy, sweet, faithful, patient and loyal California girl. You will be missed.
