Well I managed to get out for a couple hours on Saturday afternoon there...... I got some recommended settings from j-tech suspension. First impressions in the car park the fork felt too stiff but thought I'd roll with it on the trail then start playing with the settings..... Glad I was wrong with the car park test!! Felt awesome with so much grip compared to the boxxers!! I was complaining about my new treads (magic mary, vertstar, super gravity's) but now realise it was probably my forks. Used a little over 3/4 of the travel on a easy track with no big hits to really 'test' the fork. But with little time I've had on them i'm happy.

Thank you, Wolfe. That sounds great and certainly encouraging that you prefer it over the Boxxer WC. Don't be a stranger later and please keep the feedback going once you've ridden more on it :)

No worries Trasselkalle will do. Just for comparison with my boxxer WC's, I had the j-tech negative spring to make them more coil like and custom valving done. The marzocchi 380 C2R2 are the none ti version and with what looks like the firm spring installed (light green stripe of paint) I'm about 15 stone (210lb-93kg) all kitted up

Without reading through the whole thread, does the 2014 380 Ti come with a really soft spring stock? I know with the 888 RC3 I had to order a heavy spring right away.

Yes it does, it's great if you happen to be a midget or anorexia victim.

The 2015 (espresso version) has corrected the issue and comes with a firm Ti, which is still a touch soft but more useful to most.

Ugh. Thanks Udi. Not the answer I was looking for, but its kind of what I figured.

I think any suspension tuning place will be able to hook you up bud. Are you going for the extra firm or the firm?
I'm looking for a firm ti spring. The reason I asked about finding it elsewhere, is when I bought one for my 888, I found a bunch on bunch online. No such luck for this one.

I thought they said 888 springs will work in the 380
Oh for realz? The stock numbers on the Marz site are different for both, but I'd guess that's because the one for the 380 is titanium. I could throw my firm spring from the 888 in the 380, but I'm trying to put my DH rig on somewhat of a diet.

well if you have a spring from the 888888, then it should be easy to see if it fits. :busted:

FWIW, I got the 2014 380 Ti from Chain Reaction today, and it came with a spare spring. I'm assuming its the firm one. Green markings on it. Pretty sweet, I didn't realize they were including them with the 2014's.

I asked the first question a little while ago in the other 380 thread also. Hopefully someone in one of the threads has an answer.

EDIT: Apparently this is by design, and you can use it in really big hits (but only then). I posted a follow-up after reading some of the German forums about this issue. See the other thread.

So I just received a 2015 380 ti the other day. Inside the box is an additional spring. Which spring is this and which one is already in the fork?

any news on what springs fit where?
i see that the 2014 shipped with the 5.5nm springs and the 2015 espressos ships with the 6.5nm springs,
i have the 5.5 and i feel a tad undersprung, how can i get some stiffer springs?

I have limited experience with the new 380 forks.

2014 shipped with a medium spring and included a firm spring, correct?

2014 still has the elastomer bottom-out thingy in it? What's the normal mod to this - cut it down by half? Sorry, didn't read through everything on it and a buddy has one and is trying to dial it in.

What's the J-Tech setting referenced earlier on this page? Clicker setting or valving?
