I have some 26" BOS RaRe Airs, thinking of changing my 26" Zerode to the new 27.5" one, but don't want to pay a bazillion dollars on parts. My BOS forks are in good condition, wondering if they'll either take 27.5 wheel? if hitting the crown will be the only issue(have room to move it up anyway)? Also curious if BOS did change anything for 27.5 wheel, did they change the crown offset too? Any internal changes like longer rods? and what else? Can I just buy new BOS 27.5 lowers if they changed them?
and as a totally un-thought-out off shoot, what other forks share same diameter stanchions, can I barstadize some lowers and crowns of them to fit with a simple lathed adaptor?

Either your lucky or totally screwed.

Probably the latter, but the enduro fork that is a 26 is just a lower the 275 fits on...

The new 27.5 FCV lowers will not work on the old RaRe's due to the change in stanchion diameter.

While testing a few different 27.5 platforms last spring for our new Jedi, we ran the 2014 Idylle Rare with a 27.5, 2.5 Maxxis. It was tight, but worked at least for testing purposes. FYI - There is a 9mm offset difference in BOS's line from 26 to 27.5 as well, to accommodate for the bigger wheel size. Initially BOS had planned on offering the new FCV in both 26 and 27.5, however only ended up producing the larger wheel version as that is what their market was asking for.
