In hell. Welcome!
Got wife's protein shake for breakfast and almost died from some weird allergic reaction. Humid and stormy today, most likely no riding.

Just unloaded/moved a 48' ladder by myself.
Back is angry.

Couple of rainy days means office work. Hopefully a few sodden rides as well. Glad the inferno temps are gone.

Rainy day ahead. Kind of excited about it. Local trails haven't gotten any love in a while and a few wet weeks earlier in the year turned the place into a mud bog. Stashed some tools in the woods and have been doing a little work there a few times a week. I am interested to see how it holds up in the rain.

Holla.

Its a glorious day out there today, blue skies all around. I will be taking full advantage and will be riding tonight. If the plan succeeds, this will be 6 days in a row of riding. :brows:

Hackintosh still won't boot into OS X. This has wasted me dozens upon dozens of hours over the past 5 years.

Have you consulted Syadasti?
@syadasti, please report to the white courtesy phone.

Through editing sundry Info.plist files in my kexts I can get the thing to load everything... then a black screen. All this from installing a USB 3.0 driver to enable my gigabit Ethernet adapter, which in turn is useless since it turns out my office jack is just 100 base T anyway.

Almost forgot to mention that the Pink Lady's are no longer available at the local store :(

Now I'm stuck with these Gala apples that bruise too easily.

Question: I keep waking up in a sheer fvcking panic--3 mornings in a row now--and it's really not my favorite way to start the day. Anyone experience this? Anyone have any preventative maintenance ideas?

Today is Buffalo and my 5th wedding anniversary! We will be spending it taking Lucas to practice, then going to his school for their open house. Oh so romantic! I am going to try to swing a late night candle light dinner ;) Also, I can't WAIT to show him the gift I found!! I think it is awesome, slightly sentimental, and made of wood. Meets all of my requirements! :weee:

Ran by myself for a while last night, and then again later with the hubby, feel like I got some exercise in

Just gotta make it through another groundhogs day!

This misery seems rather self inflicted
I'm giving it one more try: downloading a torrent of the Yosemite installer app, trying to UniBeast it onto a USB drive, and trying the installation. If that fails then the Hackintosh shall become a Windows-only machine and I shall idly shop for true Apple hardware.

Just as with my time-wasting with this Hackintosh over the years, is this really worth the time expended vs. sucking it up and going to your local mechanic?
I'll get an estimate, but to replace all the boards (which most shops will do) vs. fix them is usually about $5500. I also need to replace the fuel filter and cam position sensors in process, and I'll be in the back of the engine replacing the timing chain tensioner. If I have somebody do that, it's going to be about $7500. Given my hourly wage at work, spending an entire weekend on this is still well in my favor.

Ok, point taken. I thought this would be a ~$2k kind of affair, not a "reliable used Honda Accord" size expense.

Yeah, this is an expensive one to have it done. If I do it, it will be a few hundred dollars. It's a very labor heavy repair, hence the expense. It's a once every 100k service, but it is substantial. I knew buying the car that it was a risk factor, as my car should be new enough to not have the normal VANOS issues, but this is once of those fliers that can just unexpectedly occur. Wifey is not going to be happy about me having to spend a weekend to get this done though.

Yes the gala crop is terrible this year...first rate disaster.

Pink Lady's come off late, the last apple picked around here. Sometimes a frost swings in before harvest and freezes them on the trees.

We are starting in the Jazz tomorrow.

@skibunny24 I used to wake up freaking out and I had to bring in more fresh air to help me sleep calmer.

maaaaybe 4 people in the whole office today. :wtf:
Early lunch seems to be a good idea.

I didn't sleep at ALL last night. I'd give anything to wake up terrified, at least it means I slept.

^^oh bummer... yes, at least I slept! Sounds like you need some repping in the bong shed before bedtime yourself! :brows:
