This new kinder, gentler style of war still involves 500lb bombs, yeah we have laser and gps guided munitions that can put warheads on foreheads while the pilot sites 6500 miles away, but that's still a whole lot of high explosive, some shit in the general proximity is going to get leveled. Usually when a bomb levels a building, the people in that building die.
Time for people to come to terms with the fact that bombs are bombs no matter what the delivery vehicle. Right now we seem a-ok with drones, but send a b52 on a bombing run and everybody loses their shit. Until how we change how we identify targets and what munitions we hit said targets with, i doubt you'll ever see that number higher than 10%, frankly I'm surprised it's that high..,
