Wintertime tropical swamp conditions continue. I can't even walk across my lawn without sinking to my knees in mud. Forecast calls for another week of rain. Gonna be a while before trails will be rideable.

Been a little sick last few days, not sleeping enough, eating too much and too much alcohol. Not doing much today think besides taking the family to see Star Wars and clean up after the baby jesus celebrations.

:stupid: hey j'lope, you're in the triangle area, right? any good all weather trails?
Sadly, see westy's above post regarding conditions here in the 919...which I presume is about the same in the 704.

There's a local park (Umstead) that offers ~20 miles of gravel roads, but even that was soggy last night, as evidenced when my front tire unexpectedly sank and almost sent me otb.

All that said, I stayed up til 1:00 building this lil'gal up -

So I'm anxious to at least drag it around for a shakedown ride. That and maybe throw some mud at a new jump

Howdy all. Tried air mattress instead of futon at MIL's house. That was a fail: how does that company survive when their products are so leaky from experience?

On this morning's episode of "Anything Can Be Breakfast If You Add A Fried Egg": chicken vindaloo. I wasn't sure yesterday's episode "Stuffed Peppers" could be beaten. Happy to report I was wrong about that.

I was going to add a fried egg to my post-ride carnitas and mashed potatoes but was stopped by fact we ate all the eggs yesterday. 1/10

My ride this morning lasted 20 minutes, it was 14 degrees and I was all kinds of bundles up. I couldn't take it and bailed along with my balls. Tomorrow I will try snow shoeing instead.

Managed an impromptu visit to Schwartz's. Winning! (sorry in advance to the instagram foodies - no pictures of my food)
No pictures needed. Did you get the Fries and Pickles also? I like how they put the pickles on top of the fries so that the pickle juice soaks into them. Pickled peppers also. Love me some Schwartz's.

Todays venture into the forest was lazy, but filled with awesome off camber. Some bits of the off camber are pretty much mandatory foot out, or you're going to end up on your back. Wooooot.

Off to the family get together now. Getting a ride there and bringing plenty of beer. Dad will provide the mobile bong shed.
