Definitely not riding a YT! Nope!

Joke's on Gwin. He's getting 500k pre-Euro German marks per year.

Gwin winning on a YT would be a monumental fuck you to the industries heavy hitters..
"keep your fancy linkages and your 5 figure carbon bikes I'll win riding a no name bargain basement, single pivot, mail order bike."

While it would be wild to see Gwin on a Tues, I wouldn't really consider it a bargain basement single pivot, like say an Airborne Pathogen. The Tuesday seems to be a pretty bad ass crabon bike that costs less because YT isn't working through a distributor/bike shop dealer. The suspension is also a 4-bar design, with a pivot on the chainstay -

Well, that kinda sucks. I'm not saying that he needs to be on a $15k bike, or one of the bigger companies bikes. But you just get this feeling like when Michael Jordan went to the Wizards, Johnny Damon went to the Yankees, or Joe Montana went to the Chiefs. Ya know?

"Forbes estimated Jordan's net worth at $1 billion in its latest list, which was released Monday"

He pulled $90 MILLION in 1 year from Jordan brand.....basically he made more $$ in a year being retired than all the off road cyclists combined and most of the companies that sponsor them.

I totally get your point- however, YT seem to be making their way up as one of those household name brands, and if Gwin goes with them it would help with that quite a lot, I'm sure.

I STILL WANNA SEE SH#1 ON AN EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!

My bad, no single pivot. it would be a bitchslap to the industry for the best guy in the world win on a lower end machine costing half as much as the other guys bikes. The tues could be just as good as a v10c? I have no idea? Being a Gwin fan i would feel better if he were going to a more proven brand like Intense, as to ensure a level playing field bikewise. After all he did switch to a bike that was totally wrong for him in the past and his result showed it. He is at an age were he cannot afford another 2 year drought.

Personally, I would not consider the Tues a "lower end machine", which to me implies it's a lesser bike compared to the competition. It just costs less, although you can get a complete V10c (not the "cc" version) for $5700 - which while not as inexpensive as the Tues, is a pretty reasonable deal given SC's experience with crabon.

First off, it's not a Tuesday, it's a Tues. not sure what it means, maybe they only work half days at YT which would explain why they're a bargain basement brand.

I have the capra carbon model, it's not bargain basement, at all. it's well thought out and engineered, and spec'd with some of the best components available. Just because it doesn't cost $8k doesnt mean it's not top quality, just means that distributors and bike shops aren't getting a cut. A lot of bike companies are moving to direct sales models, i'm really curious what this is going to do the LBS.

I would not consider the Tues to be a lower end bike either. A friendly rivalry between myself and another guy in my class at races is a perfect example. I ride a v10CC, he rides a YT tues. Last year he was on a session, I was on a TR500. When we've raced each other we've taken turns beating each other. In six races against each other in 14 and 15 we are seperated by 30 seconds total time. 21:40 to 21:10. I've crashed in some of those, and so has he. But at the end of the day, it didn't matter which bike either one of us was on. Granted, we aren't Gwin and Minaar, but, the Tues is holding it's own just fine with two huge names (session and V10) and another very good bike (tr500)

*edit* I was on a TR450 for one of those races.

Gwinn would be just fine on the tues in my opinion.

Have been testing one now for almost 5 months. The bike is pretty good. I would run 800mm bars and their LG is a bit on the small side for my preferance. But their new XL is probably what I would ride size wise. Its the smae as all other FSR's and bobs like mad under hack power. You have to be smooth to cut down on pedal induced suspension movement. It is a pretty rad build for the price.

Not with a 36t ring. Quit bouncing up and down when you pedal

It's in a table so it's true

In all seriousness, I rode one for most of a day and didn't notice a damn thing with the suspension. Didn't squat. Didn't extend......seemed pretty good to me.

Looks like that might go out the window if you run a lot less sag.........

Oh look. Zink's getting his money's worth. We're talking about YTs already.
