so... business trip to Germany in 4 weeks, and as we all know Germany = nurburging

I´ll be in Stuttgart for 5 days working, and then I might have the weekend off to wander...

driving to the ring roundtrip and doing 4-5 laps in 48 hours..... doable? should I take a train?
seems to be about 200 miles...
any places where I can rent a fast-ish car, say ~300hp, for a couple days? is there some euro equivalent of herzt-adrenaline collection or something?

suggestions?

You want to take a 300hp or fast car around that after only a few laps? Good luck haha.

Isn't it pretty expensive too? There's probably better roads to drive...Though, it is one of THOSE things you have to do if you like racing or cars in general, I guess.

Just rent a VW Golf or something similar.

One of these days, I'd like to take something fun around the 'Ring. The other one high on the list is to take a GP bike around the Isle of Man TT course. I need to win the Lottery.

Front Range, dude...
It is closer than 200 miles...never drove it but traversed the autobahn past it many times when I lived in Stuttgart. Were I you, I would hop a train at the HauptbahnHof and head south to Garmisch or Munich for the weekend...

I only live an hour away, but i must admit i've only ever ridden a bike on the Nordschleife.

Just rent a car and have some fun on the Autobahn or explore some winding roads in the Black Forest - plenty of great driving down there. The Bodensee, Zürich, Konstanz, Freiburg and several ski resorts like Garmisch, Oberstdorf or St Anton can be reached within less than 3,5 hours, even the train to Paris only runs ten minutes more than that.

Go to a place called
Todtnau, rent DH bike, take ski lift to top of mountain, ride bike back down, thank me later.
Todtnau is tons of fun, but it'll only work for his September trip unfortunately since the tracks open the same weekend as the Nürburgring.

Bikepark Bad Wildbad is only 70 minutes from Stuttgart and sometimes opens as early as February. I've never ridden there, but just like Todtnau it has hosted several German downhill championships, so it can't be too bad.
I've also heard good things about Lac Blanc bikepark just over the border in France.

And don't drink with the Belgians. Well, OK just a few then.
Just keep an eye out for huge turds dropping from the ski lift...

Ive been to all three of those places many times. Lac Blanc is probably most fun because of diversity. They have a ton of track ranging from easy to very technical.

Todtnau is my personal favorite because its so hardcore and fast. Makes you just want to pin it harder every time.

Bad wildbad tho, love hate relationship.
I was there this summer when i was roadtrippin Europe and decided to take a look on my way south to Todtnau.
I had ridden (and raced) there many times before but I forgot just how glarly it is. If youre not with a good crew and you just want to have a good time I would not reccomend riding there. Especially if youre alone.
If youre not 100% focussed and on your game this track will kill you for real...
