Watching this triggers some PTSD from a vibration and dynamics take home final.
Air National Guard has a heli school at the local Airport. It is scary watching them. When the Chinnook is there I take the golf cart over and marvel at how that fucking thing even fly's. They have a concrete tower for the fire dept and the pilot places the back wheels on it and the soldiers empty out of it. It is always windy as fuck there....
Oregon Air Guard used to fly out to Troutdale when I was there and used it to practice auto rotations in the blackhawks. Always fun to watch.
They have about 20 of those blackhawks. They never move them. I have never seen one fly. The Chinooks blades path seems to cross each other. How is it that they don't strike each other when they fly?

I remember this sight from my childhood. Russian occupants would fly the Hinds just a few feet above apartment buildings or hospitals, just to fuck with us.
