I'm not sure why everyone makes fun of Pivot for being a dentist bike. The V-10, Session, Glory, Demo etc... Are all up there costing even more.

That said, I would never risk myself by throwing a leg over a 30lb DH bike and expecting it to take a weekly beating for years without something giving out at a bad time.

But most of these bikes are either unrideable, inefficient, or both.

Bottom line: As long as it's not a 26", a Pivot is not unrideable or inefficient.

come on, it's carbon optimized for "lightness"... it's bound to happen.

in a single wide, cooking meth...
The moar Pivot decals the moar dentist.
Or maybe festoon it with some Ibis stickers to really elevate the dentite factor :thumb:

I'd ride it...

I'd probably even trade in my Turner DHR for it. Wait, would I really? :/
Of effing course bro, 650 >>>>>>>>>pico wheels...I mean, think of all that god damned extra angular momentum! You wouldn't know what to do with yourself with the exponential increase in momentum units.

As for the bike itself, I'm actually disappointed they just didn't release a boatload of linkage graphs. No pics, no promotional shred vids, no geo, no weights or other specs...just graphs, a price (perhaps expressed in an average number of teeth whitening treatments) and maybe a statement that says something to the effect of "its all optimized and shit".

They couldn't make enough of'em...

Not Pivot's fault if people ride their bikes during daytime. The manual clearly states "protect from sunlight".

Damn. I kinda wanted the Mach6c. Not that I could afford it but that's sad since I really like the bike outside of the silly weight

The Phoenix has always been the only think they made with decent geometry. Their trail bikes all fit like they're made for someone 5'6" with a 36" inseam.

Tough crowd.

Maybe it's a case of "ignorance is bliss" since I tend not to try a lot of different bikes and I keep my bikes for a long time, but I must say I find my Mach5.7c to be a great bike. I can't quite point out anything that would make me want to change it.
