hanging your bike from a slammed dropper post is a good way to buy yourself a rebuild.
Doesn't matter, it's not new and I'll likely need a stealth post anyway. The cable rubs the linkage when it compresses. That's why I shifted the collar around 90 degrees.

Got them. Check second photo...
Couldn't tell in the 2nd pic, too dark on my screen.

Nice bike though. I won't be able to give mine a run-down soon. I did ride it down the stairs yesterday.

That pic looks nor-cal-ish, Auburn or higher?

It's not new, but it's one of my bikes and I was riding on trails today.

oh look . it's basically the same un-fucking-rideable bike i've been on for the past 6 years. what a travesty.
I've got some fresh Ardents for sale. :busted:

Same trail bike for me for 2016. But I got some new rims and went to 27.5, new XT brakes, new tires, chain and XT bottom bracket.

@kidwoo my brand new 200mm rotor already rubs and I haven't even ridden the thing.

No new bikes this year, but a little drivetrain freshening for the Megatrail. Gonna give the new XTR 11 speed stuff a whirl. Parts are all here, I'll put 'em on tonight.

Maiden voyage for the wife and I tonight. New 5010c. I had last years 5010c and this one is much improved in my quick little test ride tonight. Very happy I upgraded.

So I'm now a couple months in on my Reign and have some thoughts....

So very easy to get along with. I have become more comfortable and more adapted to this bike and done so faster, than any other trail bike before it. I'm in love with every aspect of how this bike rides. That being said, the Debonair BLOWS through its travel. I've added two volume spacers... and I may need one more. I'm 5'8" and 150lbs and didn't think it would be that linear feeling... No complaints though, the small bump sensitivity is amazing. The Pike Dual Position is excellent. Only one token and its perfect. XT Brakes are very nice. DT Wheels are shockingly good (once you swap out the 18t star ratchet for a 36t). Shimano M8000 chain retention chainrings SUCK SO MUCH. Giant branded dropper post is excellent. Specialized SWAT is not a gimmick. The bandit spare tube wrap under the saddle, the chain breaker built into the topcap, and the multi-tool built into the bottle cage are very very slick. This bike begs to go faster. 28lbs (M) with XTR pedals is awesome. Hate me if you will, but I'm never going back to 26". This bike is playful and can devour trail like nothing I've ever ridden before.

How come your size M is 2lbs lighter than my S size, with lighter pedals and carbon bottle cage?
My came with Minion DHF 2,3 EXO TR and HRII 2,3 EXO TR, both MaxxTerra. There is about 150g diff between your and my tires (accordingly to web sites).

2 lbs!!! Holy cow... I dont know man... When I weighed it there was no bottle cage or accessories, the deity bar, tubeless with 2oz of sealant... Maybe real life tire weights?

Maybe my park tool scale is busted? I was so happy... Now you've got me wondering...

Same frame as 2015 but updated other bits. Not really riding for another month at least, just dinking around on roads. Also waiting on 9point8 to release the 175mm droppers. I am looking forward to shredding the shit out of this bike.

My new whip. I was going to take pic down at my office (dentist), leaning against my Porsche Cayenne, but alas I'm just a lowly bike industry hack so here's a pic in my driveway.

You poor, poor, non-dentite bastard. Even your driveway sucks. No polished stone or brick...hell it's just some rocks on the ground. I don't know how you survive in your third world hovel...

Nice rig. :thumb:

Nah, the Sanction is awesome just going to transition out of being my daily driver. I'll post up after I've got some more time on it, but it's pretty solid so far.
I don't know, that build stinks of dentistry. Are you sure you didn't take that picture in between pheasant hunts in your 40 acre back yard?

Sick bike, I'm curious to hear a ride report too...comparisons to the GT would be interesting

Not new, but new on that forum, thought that would be a good opportunity. I tried to sell it a couple of weeks ago, but 26", no one wants it, and I like it too much anyway.

I bet some of you will recognize this bike in its 2016 robe
