NORCAL is the hizzle
Hey all, heading to Morzine toward the end of July and will have 4-5 days prior to do something else. I'm sure we can find plenty to do in the immediate area, and we've already got some good ideas (such as Zermatt, which we're looking into) but I figured I'd try to harness the collective power of the monkies for some additional suggestions.

We'll be on 150mm sleds, not full-on DH bikes. We're not shy about pedaling but some help getting up the hills in the way of lifts, trams, etc., would be welcome. Probably looking more on the natural trail/all day ride kind of thing but bike parky stuff could be in the mix as well.

Thanks.

Verbier or Crans Montana could also be fun and I'm pretty sure a lot of trails in Chamonix are closed to bikes in July and August.
TGR shot a few trail edits around here last fall and those would give you a good look into some options.

Not all lifts are open to bikes around that time (cham) but I think theres plenty of trails left in the area.
Verbier is also amazing (the bikepark) but when i was there last year for the Swiss DH nationals (i think it was sept) only one lift was open in that whole 4 valley area. Verbier is also hella expensive but the dh there is worth the money.
I wasnt impressed with the amount of "normal" trails on the map but a local bike shop dude told me they were working on it...

Definitely Chamonix

Went there in a tour last September and it was awesome (coming from whistler the week earlier)

At least the trails I rode where mostly hiking paths, very steep, very rocky, very narrow most of the time but a blast to ride nonetheless.

I went in a tour with a local guide... It was a Fluidride tour... You may check out their website..

Went to Les Houches, Saint Gervais, Vallorcine, Le Fayet etc.

We mostly used chairlifts and gondolas, super bike friendly....
