Seeing a Guerrilla Gravity theme, so I will add mine into the mix. However, it should be noted that mine is a special edition Deceptacon model, which means it can turn into a giant laser blaster (even Cam Zink and Hacktastic would be impressed) -

Good thing I blast Autobots with it, because its almost as unridabru as jstuhlman's shitty nano-wheeler...

I ride 26" because "fvck you",

Found this used beauty on PinkBike as is minus my pedals. It came with these funny looking pedals that had some mechanical do-hicky in the middle.

Took a day off work to wait around for it to show up. Unpacked at 1pm and by 8:30pm had ridden two 14 mile loops are different places around town. So much fun.

Sweet. My hardtail is being finished up today. We need to get up soon.

Aren't Chromags just f'n awesome to ride?
Evidently. I had only cruised one around the parking lot before yesterday. But its pretty damned intuitive and very composed. I kept realizing that I could have pushed it harder in corners. Im a hack that really used a FS well, but a big 6" mini DH bike around these lame IMBA trails had me all hating on things. I rode them on a hardtail and presto it became fun again.

I will wear my titanium cod piece for our ride.
Gaed damn you!!!!!! I wanted a Stanton so badly that I had it in the checkout cart over and over but never could commit. I knew to build it the way I wanted it would be out of my budget.

That bike pardons you from an groin or neck punches.

What size? If its a 27.5" hardtail I get to punch you in the groin. If its a 29er, I get to punch you in the groin and neck....
I think deliberately buying a bike called "switchback" still counts.

Kinda like buying a car called "baby rape".

The model may be functionally fine. But it's just in bad taste.

Ha, I had it in my cart too but I already had the parts, and I just needed a frame.
And it was just too tempting to pass up.
I am gonna shred some flat abnormally tight switchbacks just for Woo.

It's special because it has oh-so clever stickers on it...namely ones that says "Megatron", who btw happens to be able to transform into a giant laser blaster. To wit -

I figured you might like the image given this response -
When trail goons offer unsolicited advice/lectures out in the middle of the woods....

And now that I had to explain it, it's even less amusing than it was originally, which was a pretty low bar.

But who cares, go back to the RS revalve thread so I can axe you a question.

EDIT - well fuck, it seems like the revalve thread was spirited away by the lizard people :tinfoil:

After months of accumulating parts to make the (grudging) jump to 27.5, I finally got this thing put together. It will be replacing a 3 year old Spitfire which I loved but which will live on since my buddies and I are going to take it, cobble a complete bike together and gift it to a young local shredder in need of a new rig. First ride this weekend...

Lucky kid, props for doing that. Is it the new or old Spitfire?

Nice bike. How's the seatpost cable doing? :brows:

edit: derp derp can see it in the background. That kid is super lucky. Sad seeing flat tires though!

Nothing gets by the RM cable police. :busted: I fired off a couple pics the second it was built and was too lazy to take more. It's been fixed now.

Yeah it'll be a second gen spitty. The bike in the background is a phantom that I'm keeping. New tires en route.

Still on my legacy wheeled unloved Special-Ed device. Received some rear shock love recently, pleasing both steed and rider.

I have no idea where I am
Just realized I didn't post any pics in here of the new Spitty.

So far I've had to replace the shock twice, replaced cable housing, bent rear spoke, dented rim and can no longer run tubeless, the cranks look like they were held up to a bench grinder from pedal strikes, and the fork lowers are scratched as is the frame. The bike is only three months old and I obviously didn't build it up to brag about it's weight to my dentist friends. Ride fast, take chances.

i have not, had the RP3 Pushed and run about 170lbs and seems to work great for me.
That's what I did first as well. Second came the big can. The Push upgrade was essential to make the rear wheel stay put on the ground. Before I either had a pogo stick or a bottom out stick ride.
Nice paintjob!

I'm still riding my 2013 Spitfire as I don't see any reason to change yet. I recently built a new set of wheels with Hadley hubs and Light Bicycle carbon asym rims. I also replaced the bars and stem with new Easton Haven carbon 35mm stuff. I just finished getting everything installed on Friday, then it rained all weekend. Hopefully I can test ride early this week.

let the hate flow through you! XL Devinci hendrix 27+. 130mm yari, revalved monarch debonair, Chinese carbon wheels and a works components - 1.5 angleset. 65.2 degree head angle and a 51mm offset fork.

The wheelbase is a mile long and I could care less, the bike handles fantastic at high speeds. It's not terrible in tight technical stuff either but that's not my preference.

The stock tune on the monarch was criminally wrong. I took it apart and re-shimmed it for less lsc, and mid compression. I also reduced the rebound so I can run the adjuster closer to center.

This was my first time doing anything other than an air spring service on a shock and I couldn't be happier with the results. The bike now uses full travel without any noticeable bottom out. The rebound is better than I've ever felt on a monarch, fast high speed for playing on trail features but slow enough low speed to maintain traction.

@jackalope maybe next time you could try originality instead of just copying SuboptimusPrime's sweet build?
Seriously, I spend ages perfecting my dream build and that unoriginal bastard duplicates it....:busted:

Really though, you've got it backwards. @jackalope got me on the GG bandwagon and our bro-deal hook ups are pretty similar hence the builds. On the upside, central NC has a nice demo fleet of MegaTrails for anyone wanting to try them out!
