I just picked up a new DH bike and it has Saint brakes. I am interested in doing a trade for some Guide RSC brakes. The Saints are in fantastic shape with new pads and I would expect the trades to be in similar shape. Would trade rotors as well as brakes and have 8 inch front and rear if wanting to keep everything matching set. Not sure how it would work out with the logistics and shipping but willing to entertain ideas. I just am not sold on the feel of the shimano stuff and I have other SRAM brakes on other bikes and like the idea of all of them using the same pads.

Not sure if serious but negatory on the Code or Elixer trade.

I have some Guide RSC in chrome/silver trim. They were great but I guess I'm just in the opposite end of the spectrum as far as brake preferences go lol. Depending on your year model of the Saint brakes I'd be willing to work out a deal in your favor - I've had these puppies sitting around for nearly a year!

If you have the 8 inch ice tech style hybrid rotors for your saints I'd recommend keeping them and just going with the Guide's for their better modulation. For shipping I'd pay my way and if it sweetens the pot and you've got some recent Saints - I'll pay your way too.

This is a good offer MobileC. I was thinking I wanted black but give me a little time to ponder how much I care about that and I will get back to you shortly.

If nothing works out between the two of you, PM me a price on the guides shipped to 48430
Are codes still being made?

Looks that way. My son runs these and they've been nothing but reliable. I always loved my old code R's too.

My codes (the silver ones) have been the most reliable and powerful brake I've had so far. I've bled them once in 2 and a half years of owning them and people always remark on how good they feel. I also own guide RSC's on my trail bike and whilst they're nice, they're definitely not as powerful as the codes. If you're looking for a like-for-like swap from saints (proper downhill brake) for a dh bike, I'd strongly suggest you consider the codes.

I am going to give the Saints one more ride this weekend to give them one last chance to impress.

what specifically are you having trouble with?
or is it just the feel you don't care for?
It is the feel more than anything, I really like the power and modulation of the Guide brakes. I also have two other sets of SRAM brakes that use the same pads so like keeping them all running same hardware.
