Morning Monkies! I up a little early for no good reason other than I feel rested, I had thought about a full 72 hours rest for the legs but a short ride might be in the works today. Other than that I have some medical appointments to wrap up the majority of follow up care and then a trip to a title company for title reconveyance sign off. Money in bank maybe Friday but probably Monday.

Wowie zowie, you guys sure as swell! Speaking of tired legs, I hit the rail trail hard for my run last night...6.5 miles at 7:01 pace. This morning I did a rare weekday early morning bike ride, and with last night's run still lingering, my legs were having none of it. But, 18 easy miles done. Then the run and the ride were both ruined when I got out of the shower this morning and immediately had to poop. Why does that happen? :(

Rescue puppy has his appetite back after having his balls snipped yesterday, just waiting on him to take his first poop since then.

Kids were a pain this morning what with pooping and crying and the little one's general inability to use words. (She can sign milk now but that, "dada", "mama", and "hi" are a pretty limited set of tools.)

Why did I bring this upon myself? :D only 16 years or so until I boot them into the wild.

Well... take solace in the fact that you'll probably figure out why during that time... then realize there's nothing you can do about it... then seek to get as much slave labor out of them as you can.

Which ain't much, 'cause kids are kinda useless.

I've only got 6-1/2 years left.

:D

Here. Wifey got back last night. Lots of tumult at her company (not impacting her) because a few projects were severely delayed by the client. Lots of folks are going to have a bad day pretty soon. Nice side of being senior mgmt is that she's deciding on what happens and unlikely to be hit directly by the decisions (minus adtl workload). But her weekly trips to SF are going to be throttled back for now, so that's nice.

Tried to squeeze in a pseudo run with Haley last night while she was riding her bike, but didn't go well. Something in my knee hurts, so no running for a bit. Pretty much negates the option of my race next weekend, which was already unlikely due to my current lack of fitness. Need to start riding to work a few days per week, as fat boy is coming back into play.

Coffee and cereal. Late night out with wife-bot, I do believe both of us are too old to be behaving like that anymore, if the general malaise and lack of initiative this morning are any indication.

Woman-clone was extremely upset about this weekends camping trip getting canned because of the dogs. We seem to have found a much less flakey sitter though, so I believe were heading up just for tonight to make it up to the kiddo. Probably make our destination Buffalo Creek and take a bike with me.

Rover.com for the dog sitting. Should have plenty of options in your area to drop the dogs off with.

Parents put their cabin up for sale, but sadly septic failed inspection due to a clogged distribution box. Need to replace it, and accessing it requires digging up some poles in the immediate area. Mom said my old man wouldn't ask for help, but could really use it as he's in pretty rough shape physically these days. :( Took tomorrow off and will go out early to start digging.

Sad to see your dad get to that point where he's no longer the do-everything superhero you looked up to as a little kid. Though his crotchety "I got this" stubborness is clearly genetic, so I got that going for me.

Digging up septic tanks - that's quality bonding time. I still remember doing this as a kid with my old man...

If your old man is anything like mine, a majority of the time will be spent with him sitting on the deck, drinking coffee yelling "don't use the shovel as a pry bar or you'll get it in the face, you dumbass".

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Morning Monkey.

Portland is very Portland today. Cool, overcast, nice. Hope to get the rest of the car parts today, car goes to shop tomorrow (I hope) and hope to have her back on Saturday. See how that whole mess goes.

Still trying to let yesterdays bombshell sink in and figure out what to do. Crazy is as crazy does.

When I was a kid I thought my dad was an irrational and violent asshat, then I grew up and realized he was just an irrational substance abuser. Fuck that. Big part of my decision not to become a breeder.
Damn, that's unfortunate, caus just from knowing you online, I feel the world could have used more JBPs...

Sat down with an absinthe and some reading last night, after leg day at the gym. Still in a pleasant mood.

Built a spreadsheet with Iron Maiden pic inserted, and sent to boss. Embedded Rick Roll macro then distributed to others. Now, we wait.

Well my dad's still kicking and just bought himself another used Harley Sportster, he alternates between boats and motorbikes, he and my mom are enjoying their 10th year of retirement to good health. Woot woot!

It is Intern Day at D A Davidson on, although how my local office can accommodate what looked like 20 plus is beyond me.

All my adult responsibilities are done for the week, the weather is cooler than yesterday and overcast so I am going out to play on the trails with the GT.

Work is busy this time of year. Must power thru the day because Thursday is Wizard Woods Party Night. We ride to all the local bong sheds and make sure to do many skids and wheelies.
