Whining child

As some of you have probably seen on my first topic, my 8yr old daughter is whining a lot at the moment, mainly due to being frozen but that is her own fault for leaving her jacket wide open.

She whines a lot ranging from:

*wanting to stay up
*having to get early
*being cold whilst outside in rain with her jacket open.
*not liking what choice of dinner I give her.

The list goes on but what can I do/say when she whines about these above things?

Ear plugs.

Butt plugs wouldn't hurt, at least not on ways that they aren't supposed to hurt.

Plug all the holes and report back

To be clear, not the child's.

Do you think if you dropped the child off at the Grandparents house and didn't come back for a while. That they would semi responsibly raise the child? Granted they would make the same mistakes that they made raising you. It only matters what you can live with. Have you tried arbitrarily banging pots to instil compliance. Perhaps biting them in a loving manner? Submission exercises like wrestling also work well. My Grandma used to pin me down and let her spit almost touch my nose and suck it up. I fucking hated that. My Grandma was a good wrestler, she could pin me down well into my teens. I turned out fine....

What you are experiencing, others would trade for without hesitation......
i wouldn't. never wanted kids for this very reason. and since i don't have nor never wanted the little soul suckers, i have no useful advice to offer except what i remember being told as a kid when i didn't want to do something. i was told do it or your punished, eat your dinner or you can sit there all night until it's finished, bed time was at 8, go to your room.
