Major derp moment this morning; forgot the work phone at home and had to double back and get it.

Not all bad, though. On the way back to work I was passed by a new Porsche GT4. What a great looking and even better sounding machine.

No ride last night because tired and most likely no ride tonight because laundry. BUT, DH is scheduled for tomorrow, sunday, Monday and then I have next week off, so there will be MOAR and MOAR riding to be done. :headbang:

Cool thread title Nick! Morning gents, finished up final repairs on the bike this morning. So it will be ready to hit the bike park tomorrow for closing day. Other than that grind out the job today and wait for bike park/ Andorra WC tomorrow.

feel crappy. wife does too. her car has to go to the shop, which sucks, b/c we need the bigger vehicle to head out of town this afternoon. hopefully they'll give her something decent sized as a loaner. don't really want to be going on the trip up to Richmond for this wedding anyway. fts.

maybe moar coffee will improve my mood? let's give it a shot.

Morning Monkeys.

Rain is the suck, but if it clears up, the trails should be good. I couldn't get the moto to start last night, so I might be dragging the RM7 for another ride at Stub. It'd been at least a couple years since I have been up there, might be a bit much. But I need to ride something this weekend, damn.

Moar coffee.

Another hung start this morning. We'll see if coffee helps, but expectations are low. I too am still clearing out MDH mess, many chores around Casa de Pesqueeb. It occurs to me I have to return to work tomorrow. FTS. :disgust:

Finally uploading my photos to the interwebs from Maah Daah Hey. Also still cleaning cowpies out of my bike/face/gear/etc. Freelance work today then taking dad to a follow up ortho appointment.

Got up with the chickens, tackling all my work so i can ride this afternoon.
Riding later maybe you say? Intrigued by this I am...

Still getting my gear in order after MDH trip. Patched the holes chewed in my tent by hitchhiking mouse.
How did you decide to patch it? Gorilla tape? Or something fancier?

I am sneezing up a veritable storm today. Immediately after work we join the throngs on I-70, heading up to Winter Park for the weekend because Phish is playing at an arena less than a mile from my house.

One would assume that radiologists are not mouth breathers. Evidence to the contrary is this workstation I switched to today. Fingerprints all over the (non-touchscreen) screen.

Thanks to a gas truck tipping over onto its side and spilling all over the highway, my usual 45 minute drive took almost three hours. I had coffee, my satellite radio, and I am salaried, so it was all good.

Going up to the Wydaho bike fest this afternoon. Gonna spend the weekend demo-ing all of the '17 models that I can handle, the demos available are ridiculous! Little bit of XC, but mostly lift served. Really can't wait to try the new Rocky Slayer and a Guerilla Gravity, got other suggestions of bikes I should try?
Maybe even shuttle a plus bike to see what all of the hoopla is about...

MSR tent patch outside, packing tape inside. Could be better quality, but would have needed two people to accomplish.

It's kinda cool that the park is open, even though there are active fires. Apparently you can get pretty close to areas on fire while driving. Curiously it is smoke free here.

"Working from home" today. Actually, at a coffee shop.

Monitoring emails, re-shunting stuff to others, and doing some reading for a PMP designation...

Going to see the Book of Mormon tonight. I'm expecting it to be a rollicking silly time.

It is sheeting down with rain, so temptation to skive off and ride is low...

Looks like I'll be attempting a heli drop in Squamish in a couple weeks. That ought to put the Nomad through it's paces...

Just got word that my son has received his first ever homework assignment. sigh. another layer of crap to deal with now. I'm not sure how much there is to do yet, but I just don't know when the right time to do homework is. He's usually pretty crazy after school, then its dinner, and maybe 30 minutes before bedtime routine... doesn't leave much time for relaxing/playing...

And the start of a 10 day span of no work begins...

Off to a good start, as apparently my weekend has been planned for me? I've been told to be at the hill for DH at 10am tomorrow for opening runs, then DH on sunday, with reservations at one of the local brewhouses for 4:45pm, then that same evening a birthday party. Then monday is ??? (DH). My beer budget is going to go out the window this weekend. :monkey:

The chickens are taking a nap.
Ski buyer cancelled at near last minute. Phfft.
Looked like rain for sure but I headed out anyway. clouds parted, flaming orb appeared, ripped up/down a short ride and finished work. Boojah.

Yay bikes.
