Hey!! - I'm over here! - was the first thing I thought, followed by WTF - then the creepy realization set in.
Now I'm just back to WTF - mostly about the humanz race.

It's like watching parents watch a screen watching their kids vs watching their kid do stuff. I could understand taking a picture of someone, but for someone who doesn't take "selfies", it seems really odd. I take lots of pictures of random crap with my phone, but not pictures of myself with something as taken by myself.

Perhaps you just haven't mastered the duck face, an essential skill for a proper selfie.

Saw that this morning. I feel like a half way decent sociologist could probably make a career out of dissecting this photo.

Or a non-sociologist like me could look at it and realize everyone is facing one direction and waving (including the speaker) because it was part of something the speaker directed.

The picture is funny as shit. But its meaning isn't much if you think about it for about a nanosecond.

I dunno. The fact that someone thought this was a good idea as some sort of millennial pandering device says something, and I'm not sure who it says more about. That's my only point.
