¡Mira, una ardilla!
So the building has started with a media blackout. The only way to see what's happening there is through the instadumb network.

Now, for a little futurology...
- Again, I'm putting my money on Adreu.
- Brandon "android Federer" Semenuk will wash out in his first turn and walk down the rest of the mountain in anger.
- Kurt Sorge and Norbs will get robbed this time. Beacuse inflation n' shit.
- I expect to see Zink backflipping off a sender while holding a M16. It still won't impress the judges enough to award him the first place.

Rheeder finally got his Joyride win this year. Perhaps it is also his year for a decent Rampage result. Although, maybe he just doesn't have the big mountain steeze to pull it off.

Stoked to watch it either way.

Because of the crash last year or is there any other reason?
Some of all of the above.

He's got a pretty reckless vibe about him (although, I'm sure there are plenty who see that as a positive). It wasn't so much that big cliff fall last year, but the fact that he got back on his bike and hit that canyon gap not really knowing if he was concussed or had some other injury or if his bike was cracked. Perhaps that's on the organizers, though. Seemed pretty risky to let him continue his line after that.

Maybe they just decided he's not really a big bike guy and doesn't belong. IDK.

Why isn't Rogatkin there?
I saw him at Highland yesterday and asked him about it. He stated that it was due to the "new" format/course. Because there will be no wooden features, it is far less slopestyle and far more big mountain riding (which he said is not his strong point). He's a slopestyle guy and feels he doesn't think he would have a chance of doing well. He also intimated that he felt quite lucky to walk away from last year's crash and thought he would take this year off, watch to see how the competition plays out and then possibly return next year.

The guys a great rider for sure and is always pushing it. Too bad, this year I was looking forward to see if he would attempt the same trick he was going for last year..

Rogatkin cashrolls his big bike with unridabru™ tires. Which is insane.
His over the top cheering and his style is not my cup of tea, but he is one seriously skilled rider

Btw. Why is there so little info this year? Most of the digging is already done. No internet at the new spot or is RB cockblocking the riders?

Is this a way of him saying he wasn't invited? BTW, how is highland running? I am headed up there tomorrow for the weekend.

Kinda looking forward to this one. More time for the riders to get their lines dialed and ride them properly means less crashporn ESPN highlight reels.
Also hoping for less-worse announcing, although I'll never get that nasal-y guy's voice saying "They call 'em Norby" out of my head.
