And none of those juniors left DH for 3(?) years to race enduro before coming back to rejoin the DH field at the most competitive it's ever been.

I'm sure Rude could be a threat, but Graves was destroying everyone at enduros then only placed moderately at the WC he came back for.
Are you talking about the bronze at PMB in 13? Not sure that is "moderately"

Do you really think Graves would have even come back if it had been any other course? Could he have gotten 3rd at Vallnord? Graves is a bad ass, but his move at PMB was calculated and opportunistic and I don't think it really applies more generally.

Obviously agree, but do remember 1,2,4,5 at that race were all on dh bikes, and Stevie didn't exactly crush on his proto mini bike

No real point here, just pointing out the facts

If we're going to speak facts, Stevie did in fact crush the field setting the fastest quali time on his proto spartan. It's a no brainer he was the fastest guy in the world at that point, but his wild do or die style of over-committing got the best of him in the first corner. So if we're here to point out facts, we can all agree that Stevie had the ability to crush the entire field on an enduro bike. It's also no secret that Graves could only do as well on a course like that, even according to him.

Yes, but graves was destroying enduro's before enduro was enduro and he had any competition.

I dunno, I thought he had something going on, but he hasn't dominated the last couple years, and then specialized....
To be fair, he did win one EWS round this year. Just seems to have rubbish lucky with mechanicals and flats a lot. Even back in his 4X days I remember he flatted out of contention quite a few times.

#commercial break, on#
Manon CARPENTER is going to Radon. it has been confirmed by a Radon guy on a french forum I follow. Faustin FIGARET and Johannes FISCHBACH will be in the team too.
#commercial break , off#

Now you can proceed discussions about EWS vs DH WC vs 29er vs the rest of the world ;)

Rude would have to be nuts to want to go back to DH. I don't doubt he could be successful, but why?
He's been unreal the past two years, Right now he's the enduro GOAT, and it ain't close.
The big question is where he'll go next? Yeti can't afford him anymore

Who cares where he'll go if its not to a DH bike and a DH race circuit? Don't get me wrong, Enduro more closely relates to what I do when I go mountain biking, but its significantly more boring and less exciting to watch than DH, and as a spectator Enduro is about as much fun as watching paint dry.

Which is to say, in case I'm not being clear, boring.

He heard Sam Hill was going to do the full enduro circuit, so decided to reduce his involvement.

What's to 'afford' with a pro mountain bike racer? Aren't they all just "paid" like junior hockey teams? - - schlepping spare beds and meals across Europe and getting to do what they love more-or-less expense-free?

Let's face it: any form of mountain bike racing is not Supercross - - it's an enthusiast's sport from a spectator standpoint.

Nothing special. There´s also a picture of another team testbike labeled "Demo 2" floating around.
My guess is they just assigned numbers to all their testbikes so they can keep track of different setups and changes.
i've got a buddy whose job it is to test different configurations (engine, suspension, etc) for honda powersports (specificially dirtbikes), and that's what they do. just number them chronologically for data purposes. "ok bike #6, now bike #7..." etc.

specifically to that photo loic posted, that 6 just looks like it was a decal, not part of the paint.

Bet it's a new 26" version, pushing the limits of what a bike wheel size can do, with ultra-progressive 26"-specific geometry and steering. They PROMISE they'll be dialed and perfect by the time this exciting new wheelsize hits the market. And if you're wondering if this new forced standard is right for you, don't worry, the industry has made the decision for you. You're in good hands.

Is it just me, or does it look like the fork (or upper crown) would contact the frame upon initiation of yard sale sequence? As for the BoXXer(s) enduro-way, is that an Ohlins top cap?
good call on the frame contact with crown
and inb4 demo6 endu-bro frame..not a big surprise
and yeah i would guess anything gold is ohlins related lol (crowns are boxxer style)

and dont forget.. this dude trolls ( or atleast trolls me.. last year winter time )
