Here's Richie at whistler during summer 2015, Yeti commented saying they would not put it into production until everything was perfect maybe 2017 will we see a Carbon version ridden by Rude at DH world Cups
given that he's back to back EWS champ and now fully sponsored by red bull, he's likely to stay enduro. but of anyone on the enduro realm that could switch back to DH it's him.

His retirement from CRC was announced on pinkbike and vital (maybe just in the team rumours thread there) and the rest is speculation.
I do know that CRC was just bought out by their main UK competitor, have made lots of redundancies and it wouldn't make sense that they're funding both DH and enduro. Since their marquee rider is switching to enduro, it looks like DH is getting the chop
Whether true or not, Nigel's quote on PB says he was "gutted" (of course) that Joe was leaving but that he had a great opportunity with another team. Almost sounds like Joe left CRC, not that he was dumped or that he is retiring...
