Nice try the A line is weak go RS line, she can't drive the flagship healthfully she doesn't need the entry line. Why bother wasting on unpractical automobile, she'll do fine in the G200 or Ford Ranger.

A7 is beautiful, but oh so tiny in the back seat. I'd take an A6 over an A7 if both were offered to me for free, but that's just me.

The automatic spoiler on the A7 was an emergency solution, which made that car really ugly imo.
They had trouble at certain speed to weight the rear axle enough.
S from an engineering side of view I say meh.

The new A6 avant S-line though:

If I had the chance to buy a sports limousine; I'd rather look at the new Mercedes CLS or S-Coupe or the BMW 6

Edit: The black one you posted looks really good actually

I like the look of the coupe, so I'd opt for an S5. I don't care about the back seat either.

Mo(n)arch: they aren't importing any Avant to the USA anymore. Here it's Allroad or nothing.

Lol wut?
The best looking cars from Audi are definitely the Avants imo. Never liked the limousines.
Are kombis not popular in the US?

People think SUV/crossovers are cool in the US at least the general public. I love my Volvo Wagon and I like much more better than the SUV I had before.

Audi just started selling the 2d generation in the US market.

I've been admiring the A5 SB for years whilst in Europe but they weren't US spec'd and I wouldn't be able have had it shipped Stateside.

Last winter I saw they were going to sell the A5 SB in North America - so I ordered one thru the DoD/State Dept Overseas sales program.

I know there are a few in Denver, but I've yet to see another one on the road yet.

A4 through the A8 all use the same MLB platform.

VW/Audi have perfected platform engineering and basically only make two different cars, MQB or the MLB. The bigger the number on the nameplate is just a reference to their larger profit margin.
pure genius, right here.
The A6 sells for about the same as a Toyota Camry around here... ex-works pricing are surprisingly close.

Are they selling them in the US? I've never seen one here.
Not yet, supposedly they will and supposedly they are going to bring back Avants to the US. If they do, I may have to go for an RS4, but it remains to be seen whether this will happen . My 4-series Grand Coupe is the same idea, hatchback (why don't all cars have this?) and lower/sleeker than the regular sedan built off the platform (A4/3-series).

the back end looks recycled from a early phaeton design that had virtually no trunk...

I has trunk. Normal trunk is good, better opening than my Camaro obviously, with seats down and divider out, ginormous and I can put any of my bikes in there, which I occasionally do during the winter for long trips. Took two huge coolers today to the fish processing place to get our salmon smoked and canned. What really seals the deal is how easy it is to convert it to full hatchback mode with the seats down. Concept is like the S7 and Panemera, although those two are crazy more money obviously and a bit bigger.

I did design this car for those people that want better visibility, easier to get out/in, more cargo space, more upright seating, etc., especially for those that complain about such things on sporty cars:

hatchback-sedans trunks make a of sense in my book.

ever since i got an SUV, i find trunks doors in regular sedans an exercise in bad design.
even if you lower the seats in a sedan, you get an irregular shaped compartment, since the lower window frame gets in the way.

The A/S 5 Sportbacks have been selling in the US & Canada since April.

I looked at the BMW GC but was turned off by the dated tech and the exterior is due for a refresh.

Looked at Audi, turnoff was them hanging the engine in front of the front axle :)

But would consider it at the RS4 Avant level.

Ouch! :D
I actually dig the look of the A7 and the A5 Sportback, but $45k for a 2.0 liter engine in a mid size sedan seems a bit steep.
A Honda Accord is 0.1 seconds slower to 60 mph for about $10K less.

But N8 doesn't pay for marginal performance.
