My DHR is a few years old now and the mountains are too steep to ride it up for self shuttling.

Will fitting this make me as cool as people on new e-bikes and let me ride back up the mountain?

Learning to moonwalk as the bike drags you up the hill would be totally sweet.

Raw power!

I don't know about the ebike part but Julien (rider in the edit) is a good buddy of mine. Check this clip of him manualling all the way back to the tram. We've all been trying for years and he's the first one to make it.

You bros should have stuck around. We've got snow AND rain AND cold AND hot happening all at once this week.
CO resorts are busy closing because they have too much snow.

Unfortunatly I'm sat with occasional views of that stupid new statue they've put up near the Manhattan Bridge.

I've got views from a certain tower of freedom of the sudden rash of C130s and Chinooks beating their way up the Hudson to whip the PEOTUS's hair into a wispy frenzy. Let's collect our Australian cook friend for a beer and CitiBike wheelie contest next time you're in town.

That doesn't look worse than this 2018 off the shelf bike to be honest, and i bet it has a better name than XDURO DwnHll 10.0.

At least the likes of Specialized and Rotwild manage to make their e-bikes look halfway passable.

In hell. Welcome!
Did you guys read the Yamaha ebike PR at PB? Boy it really turned into a Ricky Lake shitshow pretty fast. People were threatening with cancelling their paid memberships and all...

https://m.pinkbike.com/news/yamaha-to-launch-their-own-emtb-lineup.html

On a side note, Team Robot seems to be coming back from his ashes. Charlie made a sensible comment there.
Anyone's expectations that if e-bikes double the ridership, thanks to the new riders' leverage the trail access will also be doubled, is ridiculous. Isn't that the main argument of the emtb advocates?

Who gives a shit what anyone who fits into the category of "emtb advocate" thinks. Whatever it is, it's wrong.

I mean really.

That's the kind of thing you need to do in secret. Alone. Quietly. In the woods. With no fanfare because you think everyone hates you. Because they do. So don't go blabbing about it.

In all seriousness are people actually claiming that?

Yeah bikes got better, advocacy groups popped up everywhere. Most of what I'm seeing is lame pumptracks no one rides more than once or twice and trails in the woods that look like those pump tracks.

I kinda wish golf was the new mountainbiking again. A bunch of people on shitty 50lb trailbikes aren't exactly going to be responsible for building fun rowdy descents anywhere.
