3 nights in a row of very poor sleep. Insomnia seems to be trying to make a comeback. Spent the bulk of yesterday in the wifes classroom hanging bulletin boards and such. Got farmed out to a couple other teachers afterwards, scored some bragging points for wife that I'll have to cash in later.

Off to work. Imma ride a bike.

I have a bad feeling about today. Setting up the first aid station, no coffee or food in my yet and a rider walks up with blood dripping from their hand. Horse tried to bite off one of their fingers. Cleaned it up and bandaged it and sent them on their way. Making a triple espresso now

Rained overnight, so hella humid currently. Wind should take care of that, and it's only supposed to reach the upper 70s today.

After a 5am wake up, managed to get both kids back to sleep. Until 9am.

Morning Monkies! I have nothing in particular planned. Was thinking about @jdcamb and hoping he is holding up well.
I am fine. The house I am staying at is pretty plush. The Cadillac is pretty fast The Canadians are leaving today. Everyone here smokes like a chimney and has very low standards for food. I am having another beach day here in Marshfield. I may make Tacos tonight.....

What to do today... Only thing scheduled is watching the DH race later.

Its one of those days here where it's not raining, but looks like it could at any minute.

Second night in a row kid slept 8hrs. Winning.

I either fucked up my back big time, or have kidney stones, according to my WebMDing. Dull throbbing pain that feels like someone is squeezing my kidney in a vice, can barely move. Not the greatest timing since I have the kid to myself all weekend.

Planning on rebuilding my old wheels with good spokes to have as a spare or winter set and drinking beer with a buddy sometime today. Probably bleed his brakes as well.

New wheels arrived at JFK an hour ago, woot.

Slayer and Lamb of God tonight. Floor "seats" at the Forum. Hoping that standing all night isn't gonna agrivate my recent surgery. Pretty sure it won't be comfortable. Also hoping to avoid stabbing and crowd-killing.

So this week was eventful... My grampa turned 90 this week so I was back in Indiana for his birthday party last weekend. My girlfriend currently lives and works 3-1/2 hours a way but has been looking for a job in Denver. She interviewed for, was offered, and accepted a job at great hospital in the area so she'll be moving in with me in a month. She and I had talked, and decided we weren't going to send my current housemate packing in short order. We were thinking it might be nice to save a bit of dinero by having a roommate for a few months. Well, the current housemate has known my girlfriend was eventually going to move in, and has been looking for a new place. She found an opportunity, and has decided to move out about the same time the girlfriend moves in. A little bummed I won't be getting a little extra cash with the rent she was paying, but stoked it'll just be the girlfriend and her dogs and I. My dad rolled into town yesterday and will be staying here for a few days before going to a BMW motorcycle rally in Idaho, and I also got a vasectomy yesterday so today will be spent drinking coffee while sitting on a bag of frozen peas and watching Mont Saint Anne WC DH.

Went to the climbing gym and picked up my bike. Riding Lair o the bear tomorrow with former neighbors. Amusingly, my receipt at the bike shop listed my ride as a Santa Claus 5051. Nailed it.

I get stones regularly, they are the suck. I could not manage a child and kidney stone at the same time.

Sleep/bed/back issues will hopefully be resolved when my new mattress gets here Tuesday. Not being able to ride more than once a week has sucked.

Getting one of these:

Not sure what that is but I have not had a backache since getting a Serta memory foam matress, I bought the least expensive model and have been super happy. Sore backs are the suck.

Great day. Discovered that one of the old DH race trails has been cleared and improved and then found a "new" trail. Can't wait to go ride them...

@mykel this is from the old o-cup trail across from Horseshoe.

A nice rock laden turn.

Todays mobile bong shed view.

But damn, where'd the sun and heat go?? I had a jacket on the entire hike....
