Miranda Miller is world champion. That is amazing. Never met her, but she's pretty hilarious. Look out for next year. She's gonna make her mark on the season. If she doesn't bust herself up... give'er!!!

@kidwoo "Hill top 40...". Gary woulda finished top 40 for sure. Woo woulda got 41st.

Good on Hill. That was awesome.

And LULZ at Enve and their bazillion dollar wheels. Special Carbon protective coating must have been reflecting too much solar energy into the tires. I feel bad for Minaar. 2 in a row??? That sucks hard.

We had a hell of a thunderstorm down here last night. I couldn't get the Redbull app to load in my sleeping room's Chromecast, so I went to the dining room and started falling asleep with maybe 6 men left. Then we had a power outage and I said "to hell with it!" and went to bed :nopity::rant:.

Wtf happened then? I gotta watch the replay...

Tracy choked harder than Sasha Gray at a...party.

But I'm pretty fucking stoked for Miller getting her first win, at a world champs no less. She is hands down my favorite female rider. She has tons of fucks, and doesn't give a single one to anything that doesn't involve having a good time and being herself. Kudo's to her.

Also, I like Loic a lot, but I honestly was kinda hoping for a Hannah win for the men or womens. Mick seems like a pretty hard working dude and its rough that they lost the race that was as much their home trail as any in the world could possibly be for somebody.

Oh well. I guess if you want to win, you have to go faster than everybody else.

Although Switzerland is the home of UCI I am not able to get the replay working. Awesome.
Congrats to Loic and Miranda.
Bummed for the Hannahs. Mick was so close everytime Worlds were in Australia. And Tracey would probably still have won if she got back on the bike asap.

I guess the supposed steamrolling characteristics of 29ers lead their riders to smash straight into rough stuff. Minnaar's riding looked much less styled than the rest of the top riders. Same applies to Moir, or any other guy on a 29er.

New market(ing) opportunity: DH 29er specific rear tire inserts.

Definitely a good weekend for Specialized/Ohlins for the double win,it's been a while since Specialized had a double winning streak since 2010 with Hill and Brosnan taking home with the gold.

Season's done. Thanks to everyone that participated.

Special thanks to kidwoo pointing out how crappy the tracks and sh!tty the riders are especially if they race enduro, jackalope for giving us totally realistic predictions and the UCI for making lockout systems relevant again.

Thankfully all the titles went to 27,5" bikes, so no one needs to kill himself. Honorable mentions in this case for Santacruz and Enve. It would not have been possible without you.

Seven months until the next race.
What. The. Fvck.

So will Miller be a contender next year with a combination of good support and good health?

As long as she keeps flowing those checks to the tissot timekeepers. Almost got caught by team france.

It's kind of weird not having transcend or general lee around here anymore to represent the indignant clueless racer "insight". There was a time when I could post something like that and get a poofy chest lecture. Everyone here these days seems to actually have a sense of humor and isn't such an industry ass kisser. It's kinda weird. #racefork

But yeah just looking at miranda's size, I wonder every race why she's not dropping everyone else by 10 seconds. The potential's always been there and she's been right up there when her body's in one piece.

Lee spends a fair amount of time in defense of the wrong side of arguments in the Pinkbike comments.

Yeah on vital he kind of jumped on me in the spring for saying that just like when 27.5 wheels came out, those on 29ers would suffer an inordinate amount of wheel related failures this year. Oh man wouldn't that have sucked if something important like the series title or worlds was compromised for one of the potential winners......but nah......that would never happen

My girlfriend and I had dinner at the same place in Val di sole as the Specialized Gravity team. The girlfriend was seriously intimidated by Miller. She definitely looks to have the physics to be on the topstep. That's for sure.
We are fans.

Why no one else besides Hill raced on an enduro bike blows my mind. The rock garden was the only place that a true DH bike had any advantage. That was 100'? What little advantage it had would have been made up on the pedaly sections by FAR! Hill's run was fun to watch! Though his run was good, there were sections that he was coasting and I wondered why he wasn't pedaling. I thought for that reason alone he wouldn't hold on to first. Surprisingly though, he got 6th!

This morning @3am as I was up, I got to watch part of the dirt roadie race. These guys look so fragile. That course looked like a blast! Unfortunately, with a seat jammed up their ass, the pump and jump sections looked painful to them. There was even a 2' drop in the course. I think that's more than the DH course had. Their rock garden even seemed longer than the DH one. It looked like fun for a 150mm bike.

This. How comes Tracey got such a bad crash, and then in the final timing she got so close to Miranda?
She was ~6s up after split one, probably more by the time she crashed. Then made up some more towards the end.

She's going to regret being so slow to get up for a long time.

Watching with my wife we couldn't work out how Pompon was ~45 seconds back with no hint of dirt on her, I said at the time they'd screwed up the timing.
