The Chiefs destroyed the Patriots opening night of the NFL season. KC's new rookie running back Kareem Hunt looked pretty good last night (after the 1st play of the game fumble. He logged 148 yards running and 1 rushing TD... plus 98 receiving yards and 2 receiving TD's. Sooooo glad I picked him up on one of my fantasy teams :weee:

Aaaaaanyway, lots of fun stuff happened this offseason:

Marshawn Lynch to Oakland.
Jay Cutler to Miami.
Rams get Wade Phillips for D-coordinator.
Patriots add all sorts of new players, last night's loss aside.
The Browns look better.
Kappernick is still unsigned.
Zeke Elliott is a woman beater.

I'm not saying that football is my favorite sport either (my favorites are soccer and hockey). But there is some money to be won in fantasy football leagues with co-workers & friends which gets me watching all these NFL games :dirol:

edit: I do follow the Bills because of their close proximity to me plus most of my friends are Bills fans as well. Mainly we just like to complain about them and then talk trash to others when we actually win.

what is this TV sports thing you speak of?..IF I have a weekend day off I am outside doing my own playing. I can't imagine anything more boring than sitting on a couch watching other people doing something. Hell I prefer night riding in the rain and cold to TV

Working in a casino, it's hilarious when folks ask to have a tv switched to a game. I usually respond with "that team isn't worth the air time", and trash talk with them. To me, it's fun, and gives that "welcome to my house" atmosphere. In fact, if there ever is a Cardinal/Steeler rematch in the Super Bowl, I have about 20 Steeler fans that will come out, and we'll sit, eat pizza, drink beer, and fart a lot.

Oh, and 20yr wifey, well, she is back in fantasy with some coworkers, and Hill scored her a bunch of points. She's happy.....

Bills won and are on top of the AFC East. Wow, it's been a really long time since I've been able to honestly say that LOL.

Had to hit the 30 day snooze button in facebook on all my Patriot fan friends. I have no dog in the fight and really DGAF who wins but fuck Patriots fans are obnoxious.

"We're going to the Super Bowl!!!" No, the Patriots are going to the Super Bowl. You are not.
Translated: I have nothing positive in my life therefore I will falsely generate self worth by identifying with an organization I see as successful. However as I actually provide no contributions to the organization I identify with, in the case of their failure, I can always blame others to maintain my false sense of self worth.

Hey now... when I yell at my TV while watching my favorite sports teams it totally has a significant impact on how well/poor they play from that point on.
