There is enough clearnace on the 650B to clear a short 29" tire maybe a 2.2 I would guess. Would make sense for Rob to make some longer rear stays to make a 29" wheel fit. I suggested he make a flip chip on the back that would move it back 15mm and up 15mm to go between 650 and 29".

^It sounds like it uses that cartridge from an office chair company that a bunch of droppers are using now. They're supposedly prwtty good, and cheap. It's up to the individual companies to make the post's chassis good (keyways, bushings, seals, saddle clamp).

So while the bike industry was busy trying to employ drop-out industrial engineers to come up with something new and leaky/saggy, a product already existed that worked for the intended purpose? Shocking I tell ya...Almost like how damper technology existed in motorsports and other applications while RS and Marzocchi tried to sell all kinds of crazy ass pumping rods and dipshit TST dampers...

It isn't a 29" its a short travel 140mm with 650B. The one at Otter was 30.75LBS as built. Has a different rocker and shorter stroke shock.

I rode a one bike solution for a few years with two forks and two wheelsets.
It works, better than having a single fork and wheelset. However long I can still ride a variety of terrain, I will have a DH bike and a trailbike. I am so over the one bike solution.

In another 20 years when all I can do is pedal around easy singletrack then I will have a one bike solution - and hell it may even have a motor...in 20 years I won't care - mid 70's, bring on the e-assist.

How much does a 2017 Fox 36 29" 170mm fork weigh*? I'm seriously considering selling the fork off my Capra 29 while it's unused and getting this MRP. I love the feel of double crown forks.

*My weak Googling is resulting in 4.5lbs but that seems low.

That's why the rear axle is keyed, if it wasn't both halves of the rear triangle would send the wheel dancing around like Pe-wee Herman on crack. The suspension system is similar to the mid-link by Dave Earle, which Breezer and Fuji brought to market a couple of years ago:

I do and I don't get why shocks like the DHS/Woodie/Chubie didn't become more popular...especially since now generic shocks are just as expensive. I checked the website and they're showing 'out of stock'. I hope that doesn't mean Craig is giving up on them.
