Looks like beefier tires are in order for the rear, though...
You said you've got the HR II on there now... I've found a fairly significant difference between the 2.3 and 2.4 versions of that tire as far as reliability and puncture resistance. I found I punctured the ever-living shit out of the 2.3 EXO, but the 2.4 EXO was... more better. Regardless, I like those tires. Front and Rear. Good times. YMMV.

waddaya have in mind? (I'm still quite fond of my DD Aggressor)
I think I have a DD Aggressor I'm gonna chuck on the SB6 (for sale!) as the EXO Aggressor I tried got like 3 holes in it within 2 rides. Short story long, I talked to some cats last week that work a shop here in town, and both ride about like I do: out of control and smashing everything they can. They actually postulated it could be a rim issue... I use EX 471s or something like that, whatever 25mm internal DT Swiss enduro rim came on the SB6. I like them because they're straight and true 2 full seasons of abuse. The shop guy's theory is those rims are too stiff/strong, and cause pinches in tires. They both had used them with similar results to me (many holes in many tires) and switched to Flows and/or some Spank rim and the problem went away, using the same tires.

**Come to think of it... I had Spank Oozy Trail rims on my SB5, prior to the SB2. And I pretty much always ran HR II EXO front and rear on that bike as well, and don't recall nearly as many tire punctures.

also, you should consider slowing down whilst on the hardtail. just an idea.
Sorry I was holding you up.

I really should try out a DD Maxxis tire some time out back... but I'm hesitant.
Heavy, but burly. You might like?

Yup... that's why I'm leery of doing something else. Really liked those tires on my Reign. I might even say FTS and replace the *front* with a Magi-X version as well...

WR2 much better than the current Maxxis HR2 2.4s in conditions such as this trail has:

Oh you're already using the 2.4 version... yeah I got nothing else. I dig that tire.

I manage to cope with EXO versions, haven't needed to try the DD variant.
Maybe it's your rimz?

Minion SS rolls great.
Can confirm.

True. I tried on before and it ended up on my hardtail, which I ride much more mellow than my trail bike.
When it was on the trail bike it tried to kill me several times.
I think I found your problem... stop babying the hardtail.

on the short bus and i really don't give a crap.. bus company routers royally effed up. they called to bitch that I picked folks up early. I replied don't schedule half the group pickup correctly and the other half 30 minutes late then have me drop everyone one 30 minutes late for Work. I got them to work with ten minutes to spare, stash their stuff and clock in. GFO

5 days until Vacation and then afterwards I won't be back on the short bus anyways so WTF do I care

Riding tomorrow

@SkaredShtles I have a brand new 2.4 EXO HR2 that @Full Trucker hasn't yet bought from me that I'm willing to let go for a reasonable offer.

Stomach has been rumbling all day from much beer last night.

So of course I thought it was a good idea to eat Indian food for lunch.

I'm scared. Very scared.

Shouldn't it be the cleaners in your office building who need to be scared?

FTS is high, but I've only got 2.25 hours left, so that's going for me.

Good evening monkeys is this thing still on? Does any one have a way to find the picture from when my fingers got ripped off? I’m still looking for the tips and have some leads but need photos for confirmation.

In hell. Welcome!
rockrazormonkey.com

Back home, I've survived the 1st DH day of the season without me or bike dying, yay. What a nice day it was, trails in fair condition, a bit dusty though. Me likey new DH toys I acquired over the winter months - the 380 C2R2 feels pretty good, def more responsive than my not-so-old 888CR. Full-9 is nice and comfy, Giro DH gloves didn't give me any pressure point pain, Ergon DH saddle stays out of the way, 100% goggles didn't fog up. I think I am getting a little faster, too.

No - but, much like @Full Trucker, I like to take the rock-smashy line if given an option. 'Cause I like it. It's almost a compulsion.
Yes but I also try to ride said rock-smashy lines moar smoother-er. Unless I'm following 'woo and then I'm just struggling to keep him in sight and stay alive... not necessarily in that order.

Yeah - while riding the smashy-rocky lines *can* be done moar smootherer (always)... inevitably I crash into pointy ones eventually in a not-at-all-smoothy fashion.

Yesterday I had horror-visions of catching my left pedal on that stump that is really poorly placed on the Forêt Enchantée.

There’s a stump?
