Tried some tasty sake at my buddies sushi place over the weekend. Both of these were super easy drinking and delicious with the fish we were demolishing. Bonus pro tip, Hamachi Kama (Hamachi Collar) is one of the best cuts of fish I've ever eaten.

i love me some sake. when i lived in LA there was a sushi bar me and some friends would bike to. gorge ourselves on various sashimi, sushi, rolls, sake, and sapporo. then bike back to our town for more booze.

I'm not usually a fan of Belgian style beers but this is fucking good. Super complex taste that was fun to pair with different foods (cheese, chocolate, meat, pizza, stir fry). Plus it's 11% so.......

Have you tried Hamachi Kama (Hamachi Collar)? I was blown away by how sweet and flakey and melt in your mouth it was. It's grilled so not technically "sushi" but I doubt you'd find that cut of fish anywhere other than a sushi spot.

Scored a bottle of Glenfiddich IPA cask Scotch at a charity auction a couple weeks ago. Finally got around to cracking it open, don't think it's quite worth retail @ $70, but it had an opening bid of $10 and no bidders, so I went $15 so as not to be a dick, and was pleasantly surprised. Not a very strong flavor one way or another, but mild and good sipping.

been digging the local/NC beer scene a lot recently. there’s a lot of good stuff between here and ashevegas.
