Really?!? Is this fashion :monkey: ?!!

That was a pretty exciting race. Nice to see the names on the steps change. But also to see Pierron on top again. What a streak he's on. Pretty cool to see him hold back a bit at the top so he could finish strong.

I wonder if he can do it again in front of the home crowd.

Also, kudos to Gwin for pushing through the pain to salvage points/the season.

Bart Brentjens said once you reach a certain level, it becomes easier to stay there. So once you overcome the psychological barrier of being Top 10, you're bound to stay there, at least until you crash and get injured or some other disaster happens.

Yeah, I can't believe gwin raced. That was pretty stupid, overall is already boned, might as well start doing real rehab on your thumb instead of fucking it up more.

Great runs from Pierron and Greenland, and I can't believe Luca pulled that much time back after being down 4 seconds.

I am with you on that one!

Next race should be great with Bruni and Hart back in the zone, Pierron surfing a wave of success, Shaw and Vergier willing to get it better and Greenland on a tracks he likes.

Agreed. Definitely has been an exciting season. Was really hoping to see Greenland get his first win.

I enjoyed seeing all the stoke and shralping of the gnar.

Watching the old Sam Hill run of this track I was surprised to find out that he was devastated yet un-gutted. He was clearly a harder man than we have today.

Interesting. A very worn out magic mary is what I was on when I fell on my head on Friday. Maybe they're great until they're not?

borcester rhymes
too lazy to look up what the rest of the podium finishers wheel sizes were, but it could be that the MM is the only serviceable 29er DH tires, since the assguy is clearly not it.

Great to see fairclough finish. Next time we'll get in the top 30 brobro

also good to see danny hart once again just barely not make the win, despite all the coverage.

sarcasm aside, it is ACTUALLLY great to see a fresh face on the podium, week after week. Wish gwin and mignarrr were uninjured to give a challenge.

Haven't looked at any of the splits but Greenland looked by far the fastest through a few sections.

what's the overall standings look like now? at this point i don't know if Gwin would be able to come back to take the overall (and that's assuming he gets healthy enough to race the rest of the season, which i'm kinda unsure of given he reinjured his thumb)

UCI website is useless as normal, all I can find is this:
https://www.redbull.com/us-en/events/uci-mtb-world-cup-fort-william-scotland/uci-downhill-mtb-world-cup-2018-overall-standings

200 points for a win.

gwin's out until at least MSA - his overall hopes are gone.

He already said he's not racing this weekend, going to rehab in hopes of doing Mont-Sainte-Anne

he says that, but depending on the severity of the injury, its entirely possible he'll miss the rest of the season. MSA is in a month, world champs is in 2 months.
I can see him skipping the remaining World Cup rounds Andorra, MSA and aiming for World Champs.

edit: Missed La Bresse, could see that being skipped too if he wants another couple of weeks before champs.

Was Loris the newest victim of the Assguy?

They are all victims of the HPP V4
3 wins in a row and 4 privateers in the top 25 riding the V4 29, if that isn't great advertising what is? Even Warner (YT embassador) and Claudio kept mentioning how the HPP Commencal is a superior bike on a rough track like Val di Sole. I bet YT was thrilled!
