I know I heard it talked about when these things came out but anybody else thinking they've worn one of these out?

I've got a 450lb on my overleveraged v10 that I'm pretty sure is no longer a 450. Hadn't really thought about it until I threw some other dampers and other springs on the bike. I think it's done. Sound right for about two real dh seasons?

I had a discussion with Darren Murphy about those coils. He said in his :nerd: opinion the SLS wasn't going to hold tolerances after what seemed like a low # of cycles for a bike shock. They're meant to be light not last a long time.

I wouldn't be surprised if two season of actual riding could start to kill it.

Any idea about the CC light coils, is it the same deal?

More like just dug around in the garage and found a normal steel spring time.

Pretty sure that spring was on a karpiel at some point. Not even kidding.
I would never have admitted that. You are a better man than I.

Should a sagged out spring be shorter? If so you can set it next to a new one for comparison.
Who has new SLS springs of the same lbs/stroke sitting around? Is it like CCDBs where you have to buy two?

Most coil springs do not ever lose their "rate" when they take a set. Usually their free length changes a little bit.

If it's actually losing rate, then it's really toast. Measure free length first if you have an accurate starting number to compare to.
