Out for a run yesterday afternoon when the phone blew up with Tornado and Flash flood warnings.
Made good time. Got a disappointing amount of rain at the house, but I guess they were shoveling hail on the west side.

Waiting for a train at Chinatown. It must be 120F+ here and humid. I hate summer in the city.

Wife and I watched lightning hit 200 yards from our house, and then hit again a few minutes later in the same area. The first hit smoldered for ~30 seconds, very grateful that everything was so wet from the rain. A few days ago when it was still so dry we might not have had a house anymore.

Dipshit tossed a cigarette out of a car and started a brush fire about a half mile from the house. Cal Fire air tankers dropping pink slurrey kept the homes from burning. Livermore fire and CalFire crews stopped it at 30 acres. Good thing the winds were light yesterday and not the forecasted 20mph. My neighbor saw one of the park tangers that took a direct slurrey hit. front side of his body was clean, back side was dripping pink slime..poor bastard.

At an oil change place now. They got me for new transfer case fluid, so it will be around $150-$200 total. Should have done it myself...
