Out for a run yesterday afternoon when the phone blew up with Tornado and Flash flood warnings. o_O Made good time. Got a disappointing amount of rain at the house, but I guess they were shoveling hail on the west side.

Storms were pretty crazy by us, nothing like down near you and Manitou though.

Wife and I watched lightning hit 200 yards from our house, and then hit again a few minutes later in the same area. The first hit smoldered for ~30 seconds, very grateful that everything was so wet from the rain. A few days ago when it was still so dry we might not have had a house anymore.

Dipshit tossed a cigarette out of a car and started a brush fire about a half mile from the house. Cal Fire air tankers dropping pink slurrey kept the homes from burning. Livermore fire and CalFire crews stopped it at 30 acres. Good thing the winds were light yesterday and not the forecasted 20mph. My neighbor saw one of the park tangers that took a direct slurrey hit. front side of his body was clean, back side was dripping pink slime..poor bastard.

supposed to hit 95 with winds up to 20mph today

Tired. Started reading (well, listening to) Centennial this morning. Seems pretty good so far.

Waiting patiently until Saturday to fly to California for a week.

Haley dropped another proper context adult phrase last night: "Hannah's nails are sharp as hell". Involved laughing and telling her it's not a kid phrase. She definitely had that 'am I supposed to say that look' right after she said it.
