No one protests or Sue's Chic-fil-a for being closed on Sundays for religious reasons. They deal with it and move on to the next place.
The Chick-fil-a argument is specious, because when chick-fil-a is closed on sundays, chick-fil-a is closed to everyone.

Its like here in Arizona, open and conceal carry is legal but businesses can decide for themselves if they allow them in the stores or not.
A person deciding to ban a thing from a store is not the same thing as banning a person from your store. A business could decide to ban you for wearing a hat. Take off the hat, and go on in. It's a little harder to take off the black, or the gay.

As a privately owned business, he can decide who he wants to serve. Even if it's not the correct thing to do. But my main thing about the article is why would you go to a business, that you already know won't serve you, just to start shit. I'm sure there are other bakeries in that town.
Not in the state of Colorado he can't. Sexual orientation is protected exactly the same way race is, by law. I suspect that this trans person already knew this and that may have been the point, I've read that this person is a lawyer of some sort. The real question to be asking, is why would someone go into legally recognized business and then decide not to follow the law? Is this baker going to decide that following health code law is against his religious beliefs next? When you open a business you are agreeing to operate by the laws set forth by society. It's not against the law to be a dick, but it is against the law to discriminate, and that's what he's doing.

Vote with the wallet, if he gets no business, he will have to shut down.
Were I a gambling man, I'd bet that the reason this has become an issue again is that this totally not gay cake decorator may be facing some financial issues. And you know what? I hope so. Fuck him. Let him and his business become the martyr he so desperately wants to appear to be. A white, male, heterosexual, Christian oppressed for his beliefs. In America.

Fucking L. O. L.

He sure won't get my money. The same way I refuse to shop at Hobby Lobby, or to spend money at Chick-fil-a.

Does this go here?

https://www.npr.org/2018/08/14/636855561/report-reveals-widespread-sexual-abuse-by-over-300-priests-in-pa?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=npr&utm_term=nprnews&utm_content=20180814

The roughly 900-page report, not including exhibits, is thought to be the most comprehensive of its kind and paints a horrid portrait of activity that occurred in the dioceses of Scranton, Allentown, Harrisburg, Greensburg, Erie and Pittsburgh, implicating 300 "predator priests" statewide who committed "criminal and/or morally reprehensible conduct."

Oof....was reading some other stuff about this. There was some absolutely horrific stuff being done to those kids. I'm normally of the opinion that a civilized society do not practice the death penalty, but I'm willing to make an exception in this case. Jesus......

The Religious Typology
A new way to categorize Americans by religion

Most U.S. adults identify with a particular religious denomination or group. They describe themselves as Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Jewish, Mormon or Muslim– to name just a few of the hundreds of identities or affiliations that people give in surveys. Others describe themselves as atheist, agnostic or say they have no particular religious affiliation. These are the conventional categories into which Americans sort themselves. But a new Pew Research Center analysis looks at beliefs and behaviors that cut across many denominations – important traits that unite people of different faiths, or that divide people who have the same religious affiliation – producing a new and revealing classification, or typology, of religion in America.
